WHAT MAKES A MAN 2

Hello beautiful people. Take a minute and ask yourself, what dominates my thoughts?

The question "What makes a man?" is asking us not the physical composition but what makes a man who he is in good times, in almost good times, when he is facing life head on and when is at home, while he is sick and when he is whole, when he is in need and when his prayers have been answered.

The question is asking you to look deep within and find what makes you who you are and to see if who you are is who you are supposed to be. In this day and time, we have many online believers who are not believers at all. While they are typing amen, they are watching something else that is compromising their faith.

This question is asking you if you are that type of man who is self-righteous, honest, and very trustworthy, fighting against corruption especially when it is not in your favor but you will turn a blind eye when someone close to you is involved.

If these questions are pricking you, that means the man you are is not the man you are supposed to be.

It is asking you to check yourself critically. If you have been following so far, pay attention now. Scriptures say "As a man thinks, so is he".

Note that it didn't say "so he will become".

Let that sink in.

As you think, it changes you immediately.

Spiritually, as you think, your faith receives the instruction, a single

thought can sow seeds of doubt that can corrupt a prayer of 6 months.

As you think, your morals receive the instruction. You may not want to lie, but the second you consider it, you are hooked, you lie before you realize what you are doing.

As you think, it affects your will - You know where there is a will, there is a way but if your will has been tampered with by your thought patterns, Your will will be eroded if you don't quickly capture it.

That is why you put off till tomorrow what you are supposed to do today and then before you know it, we are in August and you haven't yet done it. I can go on and on, in your job, in your home, in your marriage, in your singlehood, what you think about matters.

I am here to tell you that the thoughts you have also matter.

In pre-conclusion,

Thoughts are amongst the hardest of things to have control over. If you think you can arrest your thoughts and control them, I am here to confidently tell you that you can't.

You can only do so much by yourself, you need help to conceive thoughts and to think right. This is where the Holy Spirit comes in.

Proverbs Chapter 1 v 5: A wise man will hear, and will increase learning, and a man of understanding shall attain to wise counsels:

Let me open your eyes to understand this scripture. It says a Wise man (someone who is already wise and knows what is right and wrong) will hear and increase learning. If a wise man will hear, what of you?

A man of understanding (this is a man who already understands the way of the world and all that is contained in it) shall attain wise counsel. which means he still needs to seek wisdom to put into practice what he has already understood. Why then do you think you understand how the world works and you shouldn't seek wise counsel.?

The Holy Spirit is the one who will teach you all things. Not your parent. Not school, not even your pastor (your pastor can teach a lesson and you will not even understand even though you shout ride on pastor thinking you understand).

It is the holy spirit that will explain what your pastor has taught you in the church because there are mysteries contained in the word of God that humans cannot comprehend without divine help.

You need to pray for this help that you need. There are no two ways about that. The more you tarry, the more you carry.
