Ranged Monster Have to Fight On Poisoned Arena | Splinterlands Weekly Battlemage Secret Challenge

Hello everyone, welcome back to Ramadhanight's Hive Blog on Splinterlands Weekly Battle Mage Secrets Challenge's Session. For this week Battle Challenge, there is Going the Distance ruleset, which only allower monster with range attack to play on the battlefield, combined with the poison ruleset, can the ranger (that used to be a weak on surviving ability) to survive on this match? Let's see how it goes !

Battle of The Week

Here is my formation for the battle :

Rules set:

Going the Distance : Only monster with range attack are able to play on the battlefield
Noxious Fumes : All monster started with the poison effect
41 mana cap: Medium high mana cap, many option is available
Splinter available : All splinter except for water and life splinter are available

My Lineup's Explanation :

Tankerimage.pngClose Range, Fly, DeathblowHigh damage and able to attack from front, plus the fly ability to evade enemies attack makes him a solid tank and damager.
2nd Monsterimage.pngMartyrA support with the martyr, for both tank and main monster behind. Help tank if there is sniper or be the 2nd tanker after the main tanker is eliminated
3rd Monsterimage.pngDual damage (Magic-Range)With the magic attack along the range, this monster is best at giving damage, but not just that, he have potential as tank on this surviving battle with poison, because he had high HP and able to give magic damage from front, that's why I put him 3rd beside 2 martr.
4th Monsterimage.pngMartyrAnother martyr for the Runemancer and Vampiric blossom .
5th Monsterimage.pngOppress, Deathblow, ImmunityAnother hitter, but his immunity makes him save from the poison, with the martyr, I expect this monster to keep hitting high damage to enemies while the monster on front tanking him.
6th Monsterimage.pngPoison, scavengerHigh damager that supported with scavenger to keep growing while fighting against the poison.

At the end of 1st round and it's poison, enemies tanker already eliminated, and my tank is eliminated by poison as well.

At the end of 2nd round and it's poison, my 1st martyr is already eliminated, while my enemies just lose their tank after getting poisoned.

At the end of 3rd round and the poison, my 2nd martyr is eliminated, left my team with just 3 monster left. On the other side, my enemies left with 2 monster left and nearly get their last man standing appear.

My team finally win the match with 3 monster still survive!

Discuss About Noxious Fumes :

What Should We Get :
First of all, immunity ability is very important because they can immune the poison, try get the monster if you can. Another way to survive is by clear the poison, you can try get the cleanse ability but it will only help the first monster. Third way is by getting heal and triage ability to regain the lost hp by poison, or enemies attack. You can also get the martyr easier due to constant poison. And the scavenger is usefull as well because you can gain more HP for each eliminated monster.

What Should We Avoid: Avoid using monster with low health because they will easily eliminated by the poison.
What would i do next ?
Well, I think I will try to get some healer to regain HP on next battle.

Conclussion

With noxious fumes ruleset, everyone is started with poison, excecpt for the immune monster, so it would be a big benefit to have some immune monster. You can also get the scavenger to gain more HP, heal and triage for regain lost hp, or cleanse to cure the poison. Those ability are very usefull to survive against poison. You can also trigger the martyr easier because they are constantly getting poisoned. And don't forget to take a look at the other ruleset!
