Playing with AI art - Keep it Simple, have a Donut!

AI

Is it too early for dessert? Got donuts?
Since last week's focal point of the clothing racks didn't work out so well, what if we take a super simple focal point like the donut, and see what can come of it.
The different areas of the image are simple enough that AI can add more to it, so let's see how far it can go!

Not bad, now we're adding some spice to the donut! Love the addition of the urban neighbourhood in the background, without losing the emphasis on the focal point of the donut.

For some reason, we are losing the pops of colour and now it's looking more like a mechanical saucer from space. I think the style is trying to make it look more animated and futuristic.

Are we going down the 'less is more' route? Definitely looks more like a work of art than a photo. I don't mind the colour story, but it's just lost all other elements of it being in any neighbourhood, or did they try to add buildings on the actual donut?

I guess I shouldn't be surprised, when you're choosing a style that literally says Portrait in it. You think they kept the donuts in his pupils?!?! Let's vow to never use this one again....

I like this one, almost looks like you found it in a run down skater park and you could host raves here. Cool take with the graffiti on the donut. Is that a spaceship or jetski parked behind it?

This is not anything I was hoping for and now we've got a castle in an urban neighbourhood? I know what you're thinking, I shouldn't be shocked when I choose CARTOON, but how come in other generations of cartoon, it's gone so well?

Loving this one! They've even thought to put it on a pedestal, almost like it's on top of a building. Great compilation of rough and grungy feel, with pops of colour. Looks like they may have built a mini city along the top of the donut, but I'll take it!

And here we are, last shot and we've definitely turned into an abandoned sci-fi landscape. They could use this in the next Marvel movie... not the worst, we've just lost the city feel.

Conclusion

So this worked really well with the Donut focal point and some simple background and foreground elements to play with. I do wonder, after doing these every week, even thought I am keeping the verbiage the same with different styles, does it only choose to listen to certain aspects of the verbiage, whenever it regenerates? And how does it choose what to listen to? Regardless, the focal point worked out well and AI was able to create distinctively different outputs in each generation, so let's go celebrate with a dozen donuts!
