Before the judging...

There were a few of you who referred to my locker being messy. You get minus ten points! Oh, wait. There are no points here so... yeah. lol - Truly, your interpretations were fun to read through.

Yes, I keep oatmeal in my locker, because, as a homeless person who doesn't just eat anything put in front of me, I need something to eat for those days that no one is offering me something organic or, at the very least, toxic-free and sugar-free. I grew up eating shitty food and drinking it too. It had very negative consequences on my body and mind, as it does with just about everyone who eats it.

As you see, my YMCA locker is full of books, In fact, books take up most of the locker. If I could get away with having the same clothes on, there would be no clothes in the locker because they do take up a lot of space. 8-) - At a time, I didn't have a change of clothes nor a place to consistently take a shower. Can you imagine what I smelled like then? (You'd better say roses.)

I am a practitioner of Qigong and Taijiquan, as well as yoga. The man on front cover of that book is my teacher's teacher's master. Da Liu was one of the people to bring this valuable form of healing and self-defense to the United States after having to flee his home country for various reasons.

The three arts above have been lifesavers. I suffer from chronic pain. I suffer from PTSD and all the trouble that causes. Spiritually, mainly because of growing up with a Western-mindset, I've been disconnect from my ancestors. The three arts above help one deal with body, mind, and soul.

I'm very fortunate to have met my seba (teacher). He has been one of my only teachers in this life. Without his guidance, I most likely would not be sitting here typing this as I was so very close to losing my mind.

Qigong and Taijiquan have the power to heal many Western ills that the Western doctors still do know what to do about it other than pump one up with drugs and call it a day. Example: would you like to know how to cure tuberculosis? Read this book. This book "The Dao of Taijiquan: Way to Rejuvenation (Tai Chi) is also a valuable resource.
