¡Bienvenidos a la Premier League! Y eso me incluye a mi mismo. Estamos contentos de volver a tener el privilegio de contemplar una temporada más de la mejor liga de fútbol del mundo. Como lo hemos hecho en las anteriores, deseamos comentar la actualidad de éstos equipos y jugadores en particular. Gracias a todos los que leen y comentan éste tipo de contenido, ya que muestran ese gusto en común que tenemos y el apoyo incondicional que seguimos dando a ésta importante comunidad. Ahora sí, hablemos de algunos partidos interesantes y de un jugador en que podemos fijarnos.

CHELSEA iniciará en casa, con su afición, dándole la oportunidad a sus seguidores de ver un botón de muestra de lo que podría ver en ésta temporada, rogándo de que no sea como la anterior. La plantilla se ha renovado en una proporción importante, implicando desprenderse de nombres relevantes del futbol mundial, que una vez parecían indispensables, pero ahora ha prodominado sobre ellos la juventud. Hace poco se revelaron los dorsales de la plantillas. Mauricio Pochettino ha mostrado su ideología en la pretemporada, y tal vez los jóvenes estén muy entusiasmados para aprender y seguir instrucciones, ganándose su puesto en la titularidad. Y ésta identidad que puede darle el técnico se antoja importante a éstas alturas, en vista que el equipo tuvo tres entrenadores en la edición pasada. Ya no sabíamos qué Chelsea veríamos cada fin de semana. Ahora es momento de emplear todo ese criterio en un primer examen muy duro, pero en casa. Y el hecho de que no crucen las fronteras británicas todos éstos venideros meses tal vez les permita unirse y concentrarse en lograr las conexiones que necesitan.

LIVERPOOL busca empezar con buen pie robándole puntos a un posible rival directo en la tabla de posiciones. La temporada pasada fue espantosa para los seguidores de los reds. Por fortuna, y en contra de las estadísticas, Jurgen Klopp sobrevivió una temporada más en un equipo donde no le fue bien luego de ese número de torneos. Uno de los fichajes más atractivos del verano seguro que lo veremos en la cancha: el campeón del mundo Alexis Mac Allister. Este mediocampista con mucha llegada al área rival brinda el apoyo ofensivo que amerita un plantilla que necesita consolidarse en éste aspecto, para que el peso no caiga sólo sobre Salah quien también busca levantar su nivel, y alcanzar el que tuvo en sus mejores años. Anfield ha despedido a nombres como Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, Firmino, Keïta y Milner. "Jurgen, ¿cuál es el plan ahora?"

Los últimos cuatro encuentros entre estos dos equipos han terminado en empate, incluso, sin goles en los dos más recientes. Chelsea ha ganado casi la mitad de los partidos que ha jugado en el Stanford Brigde contra el Liverpool. Esperamos que en ésta oportunidad sí haya goles.

BRENTFORD vuelve a la carga en la Premier League, sin miedo al éxito. Y podemos decir que tuvo éxito al estacionarse en la primera mitad de la tabla durante la campaña pasada, y cerrando su participación en el puesto número nueve. Los dirigidos por Thomas Frank no se dejaron intimidar por los grandes nombres de la Premier, y pudo mantener resultados estrechos e incluso ganar algunos partidos. Tiene uno de los estadios más pequeños en la Premier League, pero ésto no es impedimento para que venga desde los miles de asientos alrededor cantos y apoyo a sus jugadores y presión al adversario. Su plantilla fue modesta en ese entonces, y una temporada después lo sigue siendo, dejando en segundo lugar los fichajes de renombre. Ésto pudiera hacernos pensar en que la premisa será la misma: estrategia, orden y mucho trabajo en cada partido. Las ideas del técnico de seguro seguirán siendo las más importantes, en vista que la gestión financiera no les permitiría hacer muchas maniobras.

TOTTENHAM ahora está dirigido por Ange Postecoglou, y ya lo vimos trabajar en las últimas semanas. Arañando el puesto ocho en la temporada pasada, los spurs buscarán elevar su nivel con una poca inversión en la plantilla (como es lo común). Aunque han regresado de España nombres como Lo Celso y Reguilón, no estamos seguros si terminarán dando el rendimiento que se espera en Inglaterra. Además, la sombra de una posible salida de Harry Kane rumbo a Alemania es algo que busca mover los cimientos de una plantilla que, aunque tiene uno de los estadios más modernos, su calidad de juego no es tan atrayente. De seguro, la entrada de dinero por éste cambio tendrá varios ceros. ¿Qué harán con tanta plata? ¿Traerán nuevos nombres, y que sean relevantes para el equipo? De ésta gerencia podemos esperar cualquier respuesta. Y quizás ésta situación haga que no haya sido tan promocionada la idea de que James Maddison ha llegado desde el Leicester para apoyar en el mediocampo, uno de los mejores nombres que tenemos en ésta posición en la liga.

Apenas es la segunda temporada juntos en la Premier League, y los dos partidos en el Brentford Community Stadium han quedado en empate. ¿Se inclinará la balanza ésta vez?

MANCHESTER UNITED busca que el trofeo de la Premier League se quede en la ciudad de Manchester, pero en su lado de la calle. Los diablos rojos han sobrevivido a una casa en llamas en la temporada pasada, y no solo sobrevivió, sino que logró recuperarse lo suficiente para ser sólido en su propuesta de juego y meterse en el Top 3 de la liga. Estan contentos de volver a jugar la Champions League. Se habla más de los que han llegado que de los que se han ido. Rasmus Højlund es un talento joven que encaja muy bien con lo que quiere el dinámico entrenador de Manchester. También, un Mason Mount que ha cambiado a su equipo de toda la vida por uno de sus rivales, incluso, con color opuesto en la camiseta. Vuelve a casa un maduro Jonny Evans desde el Leicester sin que yo tenga clara su principal función. Es verdad, Maguire está más afuera que adentro del plantel, pero ¿de verdad trajeron éste nombre para sustituirlo? Bueno, la verdad es que Harry tampoco aportaba mucho... Creo que voy entendiendo. Onana lo veremos con ésta brillante camiseta de portero de otro equipo grande. Cuando pensamos en las dudas de Fred y McTominay nos hace pensar de que estaremos viendo a varios de éstos nombres nuevos desde el mismo principio en éste partido.

WOLVERHAMPTON logró distanciarse de la zona de descenso y quedarse con el puesto 13 de la tabla. Lopetegui lo tenía como misión, y lo logró. Pero, ¿cuál sería el objetivo para ésta nueva campaña? No lo sabemos, porque apenas ha un par de días renunció a su cargo por razones genéricas que ya hemos visto en otras rupturas. Por impresionante que parezca, no tardaron mucho en conseguir un reemplazo: Gary O'neil, quien una vez dirigió en ésta liga al Bounemouth. ¿Cómo se encuentra la plantilla? Juzgue por usted mismo: se han ido hombres como Traoré, Coady, Diego Costa, Moutinho, Rubén Neves, entre otros. Con respeto a los que se quedan, hay que reconocer que la plantilla no es la misma. Es verdad, llegaron nombres como Doherty y Mosquera, pero su calidad está por demostrarse en éste competitivo torneo. El nuevo entrenador tendrá apenas unos días para prepararse para éste encuentro cuyo rival no será sencillo y combatirán en su casa.

Las últimas dos veces que se enfrentaron en Old Trafford fue una victoria para cada uno. Sin embargo, es notoria el dominio que tiene el Manchester United en casa sobre el Wolverhampton viendo su historial.

JOAO PEDRO es una de las incorporaciones en el atractivo Brighton. Llega desde el Watford, donde brilló en sus constantes titularidades, efectividad ante el arco rival y el oportunismo que se agradece en el área. El nacido en Brasil busca apoyar a una plantilla que estará compitiendo en Europa, y necesita sangre joven, buen rendimiento y ganas de trabajar. Vimos este hombre hacer muy buenos minutos en la pretemporada. Su entrenador agradece éste tipo de incorporaciones en vista de algunas salidas que ha tenido el club.

Sólo faltan unas horas para el pitazo inicial, donde el campeón actual visitará la casa de un recién ascendido Burnley. Será el reencuentro de Kompany con el equipo que tantas alegría le dio. ¡Disfrutemos el fútbol!

Now, let's talk about some interesting matches and a player to watch.

CHELSEA will start at home, with their fans, giving their followers the opportunity to see a taste of what they might see this season, praying that it will not be like last season.
