Holo! We continue to interact and show how excited we are about the upcoming release of the @holozing game. If you haven't joined yet, I invite you to use my referral link and don't let another day go by to find out what's coming this year. One of those things is the creature called Infernus.

INSPIRATION

Once we have our first creatures we will be interested in them being able to develop their abilities to the maximum. It will be interesting to see how some manage to reach their next evolution in a matter of time. So we will have out there several creatures of the same species at different levels, and maybe with the same owner.

Based on that I wanted to make this representation, a small wolf admiring a more developed wolf, wanting to be like him. At the same time the second one seems to be giving him support and encouragement, willing to teach him. That's what my fanart today is based on.

PROCEDURE

I decided to start with the little wolf. I will draw him completely in profile, and running. I had to go through some photos of real wolves on the run to figure out how to draw the paws. I had problems with the proportions, since I tended to have fatter paws, which made it look a bit disproportionate. Also, I had to make several strokes to get his body in a way that I liked. Even so, I think it was a bit overweight.

Now I wanted to do something similar with the wolf in the next level. I started to draw his face in profile slightly more forward than the previous one. I had thought about having the paws differently shaped, like when they are practically suspended in the air with their paws towards the center of their body. However, I noticed that this would make the smaller wolf more distracting, and might even distort it. So I tried to draw it similar to the first one.

Now it was time to outline it with ink pen. I took the opportunity to soften the lines and try to adjust the proportions a little more. Once that was done, I gently passed the eraser to remove the charcoal lines and keep the new ones.

Now it's time for coloring. I think I've gotten somewhat better at that. I feel more confident in making the strokes with the colors. Again, I try to be uniform first, and then settle the crayon harder in some areas to give the effect of light or shadow on the body. The part of the fire, I noticed that there are no lines marking the color limits in the original, so I tried to simulate the same, coloring first the middle of the fire with yellow and then the edges with orange.

A detail that I saw necessary is to outline with the black crayon the brown part of both wolves, since it was needed because they were one behind the other and I think that visually it was not easy to distinguish them. With those strokes I helped myself.

Once I finished the work with both creatures, I decided to add a trail of fire for each one and a shadow to separate them from the ground. Obviously, I placed my signature, although I had a hard time deciding where it would go.

So without further ado, here is the result.

Perhaps Infernus is one of the creatures that has more acceptance within the community. It may be one of the most sought after once the game has started. But everything remains to be seen. INSPIRACIÓN

Una vez que tengamos nuestras primeras criaturas estaremos interesados en que puedan desarrollar sus habilidades al máximo. Será interesante ver cómo algunos logran alcanzar su próxima evolución en cuestión de tiempo. Así que tendremos por allí varias criaturas de la misma especie en diferentes niveles, y tal vez con el mismo dueño.

En base a eso quise hacer ésta representación, un pequeño lobo admirando a un lobo más desarrollado, queriendo ser como él. A la vez que el segundo parece estar brindándole su apoyo y ánimo, dispuesto a enseñarlo. En eso está basado mi fanart de hoy.

PROCEDIMIENTO

Decidí empezar con el pequeño lobo. Lo dibujaré completamente de perfil, y en carrera. Tuve que repasar algunas fotos de lobos reales en carrera para saber cómo dibujar las patas. Tuve problemas con las proporciones, en vista que solían quedarme las patas más gordas, lo que hacía que se viera un tanto desproporcionado. También, tuve que hacer varios trazos para que me quedara su cuerpo de una forma que me gustara. Aún así, creo que me quedó un tanto pasadito de peso.

Ahora quise hacer algo parecido con el lobo en el siguiente nivel. Empecé a dibujar su rostro de perfil levemente más adelantado que el anterior. Había pensado en que tuviera las patas de forma diferente, como cuando están prácticamente suspendidos en el aire con las patas hacia el centro de su cuerpo. Sin embargo, noté de que eso haría que el lobo más pequeño tuviera más distracción, e incluso pudiera hasta distorsionarlo. Entonces traté de dibujarlo de forma parecida al primero.

Ahora llegó el momento de delinearlo con lapicero de tinta. Aproveché de suavizar las líneas y tratar de ajustar un poco más las proporciones. Una vez hecho eso, pasé suavemente la goma de borrar para quitar las líneas del carboncillo y quedarme con las nuevas.

Ahora llega el momento de colorear. Creo que he mejorado algo en eso. Me siento con más confianza al hacer los trazos con los colores. De nuevo, trato de ser uniforme primero, y luego asentar más fuerte el creyón en algunas zonas para dar el efecto de luz o sombra sobre el cuerpo. La parte del fuego, noté de que no hay líneas que marquen los límites de color en el original, por eso traté de simular lo mismo, coloreando primero el medio del fuego con amarillo y luego los bordes con el naranja.

Un detalle que vi necesario es delinear con el creyón negro la parte marrón de ambos lobos, puesto de que se necesitaba en vista de que estaba uno detrás de otro y creo que visualmente no era fácil distinguirlo. Con esos trazos me ayudé.

Una vez terminado el trabajo con ambas criaturas, decidí agregarle una estela de fuego para cada uno y una sombra para separarlos del suelo. Obviamente, coloqué mi firma, aunque se me hizo difícil decidir dónde iría.

Tal vez Infernus es de las criaturas que más aceptación tiene dentro de los que integramos la comunidad. Puede que sea uno de los más buscados una vez iniciado el juego. Pero todo estará por verse.
