Goodbye dear mug
Goodbye dear mug
If you are in this community it is because you like coffee, and surely you have a favorite mug at home to serve your daily portion. Today I want to talk about the relationship between mugs and coffee.
I'm not going to lie: I don't remember how I got my transparent mug or how long I've had it, but I liked it for several reasons. It was wide, so I could pour a generous amount of coffee. It allowed me to see the color of the coffee from all angles, not just from above, as many mugs do. It allowed me to admire the tones it has when pouring and drinking it. Its thickness was considerable, I think thicker than all the others at home.
Unfortunately, recently there was a "household accident" and it inadvertently came to rest on the floor and broke. I was sitting at the computer and heard the sound. First I worried that no one was hurt, and after that, well, it was my mug that had exploded on the floor.
Just a few days before I had taken these pictures of it on my desk. There is a time of year when the morning sun's rays come through the door and right onto my chair and desk. That morning I grabbed my coffee and headed to the desk. I placed the mug in a spot where it was just getting direct sunlight. I smiled at the reddish color of my coffee, and it was a strong black coffee! But we already know that depending on the quality and roasting level it can have this beautiful tone. And even more so if the sunlight is coming through a transparent cup. And that's when it occurred to me to take these photos. I did it with my cell phone, and not with the camera, as fast as possible, not knowing that it would be the last photos I would have of that cup.
Today I decide to publish these last photos of my mug. Yes, there are few differences in colors, angles and composition. But I believe that the hot coffee it contains and the exotic shapes rising above the vital liquid (call it steam, smoke or whatever) would not be possible without this humble hostess of my breakfasts.
How beautiful my mug was. Wide, sturdy, heavy, generous. It didn't draw attention to itself, but rather shifted attention to the contents it carried, the exquisite coffee, and perhaps made the coffee better to admire.
Of course, life goes on and I am drinking coffee from another borrowed mug. I'm starting to get used to the fact that I don't have it with me. But maybe it's the perfect excuse to go to a great store in town to look to buy a new one that I like. I'm sure I'll be back to introduce them to you. See you next time!

It's serendipitous that you were able to capture these last photos of a meaningful mug, and remember your last cup of coffee in it here! As always, I enjoyed the imagery you drew around this experience, even if I was sad to hear of the mug's downfall. ☕️
Unbelievable that I didn't know what the last hours of my cup would be about. For me, it was just an ordinary morning. Thank you for appreciating my content in this community. I prepare it with a lot of love. Greetings @grindan
Thanks for the support @cinnccf
Just like you, I do have a favorite mug for coffees at home. Aww, sad to hear about your mug. I so feel you when it comes to its sentimental value. Best regards my friend!
It's a good thing we don't name the mugs, otherwise it would be worse 😅. Thanks for stopping by. Regards @pinkchic
It establishes a very nice relationship with the cup for coffee is part of the moment so to speak, and of course it must give a feeling of emptiness for not being equal to take it, my cup has long been with me, but now I wonder how you describe your review, that I liked a lot, if this happened to me I would buy another equal or very similar? I would have to go through that to see, greetings ✨️✨️
I think that maybe, when buying a new one, we have some preference with the size, shape, color... but I think the most important thing is that we like the new mug and it shines with its own light, that it provides us to use it. Thanks for stopping by. Regards @
There are powerful reasons why this is your favorite mug and if we add special moments you lived together even more.
You chose a unique moment and the ideal light to capture your photos, I love the color of the coffee, in fact it can be confused with some wine.
Sorry to hear about your incident my friend @aaalviarez.
Yes, it was good to have it and take advantage of the benefits it offered me. I have the next one to be great too. Thanks for stopping by @sidalim88

I recently bought a beige ribbed cup with a wide mouth. 👄 Been very careful with the cup since it’s quite new. It’s sad to see you post such a cool transparent mug. Hoping you won’t miss it too much. 😢
How nice. New mug. I guess you'll feel more like using it daily. for now, I'm still using a borrowed and broken mug. Someday the replacement will come. Regards @coffeenlove
