Superior education does not make us superior || OPINION
Superior education does not make us superior || OPINION
I am in favor of education. It is an elementary right of every human being, and it is useful to take advantage of all the sound and truthful education that is available. Now, in this part of the world we often use the expression "higher education". What does it usually refer to? But what is higher education to me? Please join me in answering.
By "higher education" we usually mean studies at universities. And it makes sense, taking into account the academic, theoretical and experimental level that usually takes place in those places. The level of demand is higher and usually prepares an individual to develop in some field.
However, there is an idea that transcends this concept. Quite a few people seem to have a misconception that accessing this education makes a person superior. It seems that the phrase is: "Higher education does not make us superior to others". And unfortunately, some graduates of these universities come away believing that premise.
Often, when we meet a new professor, a speaker at a training course, we often hear about the degrees and academic achievements that this person has, such as the ones I mentioned at the beginning. Is the intention to give credibility to what he is going to say, or to put him above his audience? We cannot be sure. What is easy to conclude is that many in the audience will be likely to feel inferior to that person.
But what if the description of that person still continued? It goes on like this:
Has your opinion changed at all?
Now, which is becoming more important to you, his education or his quality as a person? Watch out! All those merits are still in place, hanging on his wall, and he has authority granted to him right now. But what's going on? Somehow, you no longer seem as superior as you did in the beginning. Is it because someone's academic achievements don't automatically make them a better person?
I repeat: I am in favor of education. With these lines I just want to expose something: the so-called "higher education" makes us fit for the field where we were prepared, but we must avoid believing that we are now superior to other people. And that idea is heard a lot in the last stage of the career and from family and friends with good intentions. I am convinced that each person surpasses me in something. I can't be better than everyone at everything. By the way, I graduated from a university.
What is superior is education, not people.
Now, to me, what does a truly superior education look like? I guess we'll leave that for a future post. see you then!

Absolutely, your points really strike a chord. Education indeed opens doors and expands our horizons, but it doesn’t inherently elevate one’s character above others @aaalviarez. Good point!

People take it for each other looking at a person who goes to higher institutions to study engineering we would say he went further to have more learning idea on engineering but not all can literally practice that engineering which they study in real sense, just using the engineering as example so higher education doesn't make some superior
Correct. Regardless of whether the person pursues his career or not, if he wants to grow as a person, as an individual, to enrich his personality, he has to do more than get a university degree. Thanks for stopping by. Regards @mayorkeys
Yes actually that's the point
