A spy in the house - Serpentine Spy

Hey Splinterlanders!

I hope you all are battling well, this week we got a challenge with an untamed spy monster named SERPENTINE SPY. It belongs to the fire deck and comes with opportunity ability. Well, I remember I bought this monster after the untamed edition was launched and it was double the price at that time as compared to current market prices. I bought gold level 3 at over $3 and the same is now available for half of that.

SERPENTINE SPY is a common rarity untamed edition monster that lies under the fire deck. It came with a new ability named Opportunity and that's what took my attention and I bought it. The monster with opportunity ability attacks to a monster with the lowest health. So this ability even works with fog of war ruleset.

I've added the screenshot of my battle and you can also find a link to watch my battle below. )

What was my Lineup?

It was a 32 mana battle with Equalizer and Close Range rulesets, I'll explain each monster used in the battle below.
So, let's move forward.

I went with Malric Inferno FireSummoner, it gives +1 Melee attack to all friendly monsters. But I only used one melee monster so I didn't take much advantage of the summoner but other monsters.

My first monster was the untamed legendary Cornealus, I used level 2 of it as a tank due to its Heal and Thorns ability. As it was Close Range ruleset so it was a good tank that was self-healing and giving damage to melee attacks by applying thorns to them.

In the second place, I used a common monster Goblin Shaman level 6. Its a magic with weaken and slow ability, it helped me to attack first by slowing my opponent. I should have placed it at a position other than this as its could have been sniped but luckily it wasn't.

The third position was covered with Serpentine Spy itself. As I wrote it comes with Opportunity ability which can attack from any position and attacks to the monster with the lowest health. Although it has lower health with equalizer ruleset, it became a healthy one with 15 HP. Heh

Next, I used level 5 Beetle Queen, it's a RARE reward card which has tank heal ability, I used it to give double healing to my tank, one it was self-healing and 2nd from the beetle. Its magic attack also helped to make this battle a victory.

In fifth place, I placed the Spark Pixies, I love to use this monster after I came to know about its amazing side. Especially I like its stun ability and high speed, which holds my opponents' attacks until mine is done each round. heh

Lastly, I used another untamed monster Fire Elemental level 2. I used it for 2 reasons, it was the only fit to complete the mana besides that I like its blast with speed. So it did its thing too with blasting. I only have it level 2 but its good one at a higher level so I will try to upgrade it at least level 5 to gain the next affliction ability.

Did your strategy work?

Yes, my strategy worked well and gave me a win. Amazingly the last attack was done by this monster so it made the winning attack heh.

Do you use Serpentine Spy often?

Whenever I get a chance I use this monster, especially for the fog of war, it performs well with taking the opportunity and attacking the second row.

That's all for now. See you at Battle Field.
