Wandering Glider (Pantala flavescens)

avatar

Globe Skimmer or Wandering Glider (Pantala flavescens) is widely distributed across tropical countries. This dragonfly is commonly seen hanging on the twig instead of standing on it. Wandering glider is said one of the most common dragonflies that are often found around the bushes, near the wetlands. So before I continued making my way to the wood, I took a little time to shoot this dragonfly that hung on the wild plant near the village street. If you want to see this species, you can simply look it up on hot days. This species of dragonfly is the only member of the genus Pantala from the subfamily Pantalinae.
