Childhood days were full of fun

Good day to you all here in the inkwell community. Every day is surely another beautiful day on the earth's surface. I would always remain that soul who is ready to appreciate every bit of their existence.

There are days when we wished we were grownups, days when we wished we got to know more about what it takes to become an adult and live a life of our own. There are times when we also realize that the life we have been living in the past is nothing but among the best ones we have lived.

There are times when we think about how much we missed our childhood days and reminisce about the memories it had brought us. Childhood at times might be so cool and at times might be so boring, it depends on the kind of environment we were brought up in.

I read a meme about life and how it has shown us the difference between our existence. Most times we don’t have to blame our existence and feel some people are not doing good at all because they are unable to make it up to our expectations.

Some of us are brought up just to survive and we never knew what they called love in their family. While some were caressed and loved with all their heart.

This would take me to the non-fictional prompt for the week on the inkwell community with the prompt word Growing Up.

There was a time I uploaded it on my status that “time is everything because there was a time in my life when I cherished taking biscuits and sweets but I couldn’t afford them. And now, here I am, capable of getting myself a whole pack of sweets and biscuits but I don’t have interest in them anymore”.

Life is challenging, sometimes we think about going back to our young age and at times we think about growing up to become an adult. But the interesting fact about it is that the very stage we are passing through always seems so difficult for us and once we overcome those phases we realize how simple it must have been.

We are always scared of the future to come because we never get to have a taste of it yet and we never know what and how it would be for us. We can just feel it from other people's experiences.

Growing up as a child was so great for us, we got so much care from our parents and they remained the best. I remembered when we would have to stay indoors all by ourselves when mum had to go to the market and dad had gone to his place of work.

We only get a few periods to play, we are always in the house either watching or reading. But whenever they are not home we are free to play in the compound and not outside the gate. We got adapted to this kind of lifestyle.

I remembered the first time we saw a frog 🐸 apart from the ones we do see in textbooks 😂. I can’t express how we felt then. 😂

One day we had to change our location to somewhere else. This change of location and environment became an eye-opener for us. We got to see more compared to the maze-like life we’d been living. The environment was different and we already grew up a little.

From that stage upward our life got a total change compared to the past. We got exposed and we were left with no option but to leave home.

The first time I had to leave my parents to a place far away was when I had to go and write my entrance examination. I had to spend a month there. I would have to cook by myself and wake up without seeing my parents, and I also got my first device then. It was just another amazing stage of my life.

It’s cool to see ourselves grow and continue conquering stages of life. That’s natural, as we keep praying for better days ahead while having hopes and working towards it.
