Stanley 0-1 Grey
I can’t even count the number of times I say sorry to Stanley. Oh, Stanley is my laptop. Sometimes I feel like I’ve completely abandoned him which is exactly the case actually. We don’t see eye to eye. Anytime I touch him, I get so lost. I end up spending hours upon hours than I intended to. Someone would have to bring me back to reality.
That fear, the particular fear of getting so lost in that world made me conscious of working on my laptop. I don’t even want to talk about the part where I developed an ulcer because of being on my laptop. Let me just say it’s a love-hate relationship because I love being on my laptop so much that I don’t.
The thing is, I have a pretty cool laptop and I enjoy every moment I spend on it. My colleagues know this to the extent that they don’t even try to intrude when I’m having a moment with him. I mean it would take a lot of work to even try to intrude because as I said, I’m always lost.
Knowing how significant the impact from being glued to my laptop is on all aspects of my life, mainly the social part, I try to find a balance by inviting Grey to the party. And yeah, Grey is a full party person so he comes and turns the party world cup. Ps: Grey is my phone. I know I know I’m dramatic.
I use Grey for everything now and I’ve become so comfortable with it. In fact I don’t even remember the last time I saw Stanley. Maybe somewhere in early July. What I like most about Grey is my relationship with him. It’s really not a love-hate relationship like that of Stanley’s. I have full control over how I use it.
Although working on my laptop is the ideal thing to do, I’ve eventually gotten really great at using my phone for the same activities and I’m even swift with it now. You know the funny part? You might be wondering how I deal with distractions from my working on my phone but you might be surprised to hear that my laptop even comes with more distractions.
I could be working on Climate issues and then before I realize I’m so vested into a climate article from one website. I’m not saying it’s a wrong thing to do but from what I know, it’s happening at the wrong time, especially when I’m working to meet deadlines. It’s different with my phone. I don’t really have a lot of space to view a lot of things while working so I get really focused on what I’m trying to do and deliver it on time.
Oh and as a not so much social media person, using my phone makes it easier to reach out to the fewer people I have in my circle. I even get to monitor that 2 BTC I don’t have. I get to easily listen to my favorite podcasts without having to stress with a lot of internet issues. Unlike how I have to connect to hotspot to access the same thing if I were to use a laptop. I mean, who doesn’t like soft life?
Anytime I try to connect my laptop to my WiFi, it’s just a lot of stress. If I get lucky to connect, I dare not change my Spider-Man position because that would mean a “no connection” thing. It’s really different with my phone. I could literally roam everywhere whiles streaming Netflix and it wouldn’t even glitch.
I know wherever Stanley is, he can’t even believe I’m doing this to him but the truth is just one, my love. You mean a lot to me but Grey and I have a strong thing going on behind you.

This is very Funny 😂
I feel this mostly depends on the laptop, mine does not go through this stress and my previous laptop does.
Wow, this makes sense, so you love Climate forcasting news. I find it hard to believe their predictions.
Ohh okay
Ohh not exactly forecasting but climate change in general.
Tell me you know climate change is real.
Justice for Stanley.😂😂
Stanley might be feeling so heartbroken now because you’ve just ignored him for grey. But well, it’s your call.
Yeah, now I’m feeling bad.🥹
You should.😂
