Weekends Are For Outside -WK 189

For about three months now,I don’t really remember wanting to be at home on weekends unless I’m really tired.It wasn’t like that some years back but all this started happening because I’m learning to enjoy my youth as I only have one “youthful days” to enjoy and unfortunately time flies so fast and I better enjoy while it lasts.Another reason for not wanting to spend the weekends indoors is the memories I get to make with family and loved ones when we go out to have fun.

After a long travel on Friday,I made up my mind not to stay at home on weekend no matter how tired I get.I traveled to my mom’s place and upon arrival she was already happy about the weekend too because of my “weekend is for outside” scheme.Since she was tired from working throughout the week, the best thing to do was definitely to leave the house to get refreshed.

I woke up very late and as a welcome home gesture I didn’t have to do any chores. That was really a top notch treatment from my mom which I was not expecting.We still didn’t know where we were going to spend the day but I knew you can never go wrong with the beach.
We went to the beach around 2pm. There weren’t really a lot of people around on arrival.

Even though I’m no stranger to the beach,it’s been a really long time since I actually felt the ocean and found myself wanting to swim.It’s rather unfortunate that I didn’t plan for that so I couldn’t.I stood by the seashore watching the waves for a while and later went sea shells hunting. I collected all kinds for my project.All too soon the sun was setting and even though I was happy about its beauty,it reminded us the night was approaching and we needed to prepare to go home.

My mom told me about how she needed this experience and how happy this has made her.I’m actually also glad I was able to make her happy.We really had a nice time and she was already talking about how we’ll be coming early next weekend.Looks like it’s about to be a weekend thing and I’m really here for it.

I'm more glad that your mum enjoyed the outing and it looks like it was just what she wanted. I'm going to agree with that little voice in your head that you should spend the weekend outdoors more often😀
