Yes, this is my top finish ever, @abh12345. I owe it all to steemreply and tipu. Both of these have really boosted my engagement and I will continue using them.

This week is steemfest and I leave in less than 24 hours. So I think I will drop off for next week, but you never know.

I autofollow the steemitmamas, so that an upvote from us is that much more awesome, I hold lots of tokens, so even if my SPU's are not so great my marlians, and other tribe upvotes are.

But then, the lovely mamas upvote me, and I end up voting myself.

No biggie. Its a good enough trade off.

The only bad and at the same time good thing about this token is, that you cannot give unlimited of these tokens. This makes you take care about when and to whom you give it.

Me too - I don't even have the time, but mostly I am watching photography posts. If I couldn't Steem at work I would never be able to to what I do ;)
Newcomers need patience, post continuously own content and communicate with others, but not spam and not just a few words like "good photo" or "good post" etc. If I get a nice comment I will reply nicely and also have a look at the commenters' blog, of course.

@johannpiber When does it stop to be a newbie? After a year you cannot be a newbie. By the way most of my content has not one single comment from a Steemian either. That will not stop me from posting since the only reason I post here is to save somewhere what is mine. You watch photos, I like to read, most are too lazy to watch or read. I spent more time on answering/commenting as anything else. Does it pay? No. It is the same to many. Perhaps for different reasons. I take the time to translate Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Indonesian, German and English if needed. How many here do that? Even are willing to do that including a slow connection?

You belong to a minority @wakeupkitty, you spend a lot of time and work on Steem / Steemit. I don't have that much time, although I can Steem at work. It's very hard to go for hikes in the mornings, come home in the afternoon and then edit and post, but it makes fun. I love what I do, but it is exhausting ... if you know what I mean.

German and English is enough for me. Most people speak English, and the ones who don't speak English can watch the photos ... a photo speaks more than a thousand words ;)

I would still call myself a newbie, because I am always learning something new, what I can make better, what is wrong ... ;)

@johannpiber I learn daily too. There is a lot of info hidden behind the screens we do not know and people do not like to share. If it comes to it you easily stay in your own circle but there is so much to read and see.
I doubt anyone would call me a newbie. I am not but I do not know everything either. If it comes to it I write and post and upvote what I like as many as posdible and I do not care if I am the first who did. It is a waste of my time to search for good content. I did it for @pifc it takes me hours and my connection only gives me stress. It is no fun this way.

I also have not much time but my phone is online if there is a cinnection and instead of watching and hoping it loads I do something else in between. I am 4 days behind with answering my comments but at least I am writing again.

I never watch tv which means I save a lot of time a plus I try to go to bed early. I still translate... I have no other option. Steemians from Venezuela join my contest and among them I have close contacts. I wish you a great Saturday. ❤️

I absolutely agree with all you say about voting and searching good content.
Since I am mostly interested in photography it is easier for me - I look at the thumbnails of new posts first and if I like what I see I open the post to see more.
Of course, some thumbnails don't show the photo clearly, and I might miss some good photos that way, but I don't have that much time to open all posts. Also, I know many people of which I am sure that their photos and posts are good - I visit their blogs as often as I can.
I wouldn't want to curate for others, at least not regularly, because I am manually curating with my main account as well as with my other accounts (PHPTO, CCC, PAL...), and that's work enough.

It's a shame, that your internet connection is that bad - nowadays everybody should have fast connections, unless it is somewhere in the mountains or so.

@johannpiber photos frequently do not load with me and I like some text to it too. Most I do not find good enough to speak for themselves plus if I like to know how, why, where.. Who knows one day I change my mind. I doubt anyone reads what I recommend. 🤔Happy day ❤️

Your Internet situation seems to be really bad - is there no way to change it to a better connection? 🤔
I do prefer photos with explaining text or a story to photos without any text, even if these photos are very good I will vote for the not so good photo, because it is the content that counts too.

I don't think, that no one reads what you recommend, but some people do not care as long as what they do works ...

@johannpiber No, there is not. There are only 3 options this is the less worse. They do not invest, accept more and more people and the more there are the less connection. They slow people down. They do not care and you have no guarantee it works at all. A contract is for 2 years. At times I drive in town to search for a better connection but that is 8 miles plus it cost me money and frequently the connection is as nearly as bad as at home.❤️

May I as where you live? Because many people here on Steemit live on places where I have thought they wouldn't have electrics, but they hve even very fast internet 🙂
Sometimes I'm on places where I have only a very slow internet, such as at my parents house, so I can imagine how you feel.

@johannpiber I live on the country. No wires or fast internet here. I am at the end ofvthe row and road but the town has a bad connection too. Nonsteady connection either. It is a problem if you need to sign in or use baking online. I.always have the wrong password and have to tell I am not a robot. An uodate for an app of onlyn200 mb can take hours. I try to do that elsewhere if needed.

I feel with you @wakeupkitty I really do, because at my parents house it is the same. For a better internet you have to go outside, but it is still very slow. I would never do something like online banking or online shopping there, because it would be too unsecure for me if the connection gets lost.

@johannpiber I will survive it. At times it is annoying and you can never do payments or count on it. Because it is slow a key is seldom recognized. I learned from it. I once ended up with 6 flight tickets for exactly the same flight. Strange thing was usually they ask for a security code if it comes to my credit card, this time they did not but I still "ordered" and payed. Very strange.

Strange too is that I am sure I answered this one but Steemreply shows it to me again. 🤔

@johannpiber They said I did not book, was not able too. I decided to try later again. Later turned out I had 6 tickets and paid for it without giving that code. I wrote and they would answer within 30 days??? Next, I called, the phone call cost me 80 euro and they did not help me out, played dumb and stupid, as I became mad they gave me someone else who started with the same stupid questions. I gave up on it.

So, you paid for the 6 tickets and used only one? You didn't get any money back? What stupid company is that? If I'd see such a purchase I would contact you and ask if you you are serious about it. I mean, you have made 6 separate purchases - anyone with only a little bit of common sense would think that something must have gone wrong, but companies just think of their profit 😢

I don't know how much money you have spent on the tickets, but I wouldn't give up @wakeupkitty.

I would wonder too why someone hires 6 chairs... Not because I need all of them to dit on plus I doubt I can board 6x.. I could only once.

@johannpiber It was not possible if all tickets are on my name. Changing the name costs more as the prize of a ticket. Plus to those I know it would still bring extra costs with it. Getting at the airport, parking, you can fly but where to stay these days. Those I know are always busy, have pets, children or are afraid to fly.

This is how most air companies work these days. You pay more for less. First it was no food, next no drink, after that it was the luggage (less and only handbagage and smaller handbagage) after that paying for a seat if not they give you one (okay fine with me let someone else sit next to my children and keep them busy), etc etc
What once was standard/included is a way to earn now. So if I fly I only take a small backpack same with my children. But those prices increased and I read our minister does not want us to fly any longer and if we all are forced to an electric car we can forget about a vacation abroad too.

I have no idea what to reply, because this all seems so strange to me. Here I can give anything I buy back within a certain time and I will get my money back in return. And of course, if I have purchased something wrong, then I can cancel the purchase within certain deadlines. We have laws and if a company acts against a law, such as it happened with you, we have governmental institutions who love to help citizens against big companies.

A law to use electric cars only is something that might come in the far future.

@johannpiber Our government first promotes diesel cars now you are punished and want you to drive electric. The Netherlands love to be the first with everything and tell people it is the EU law. They also tell us that about gas. They do not want us to use it anylonger. How to heat all houses? A heating system will cost 10K euro at least and I am not willing to save for that. Besides the house is build in 1927. If I am still alive I spent 6-8 months a year in the cold or live abroad. Somewhere where it's hot. 😁💕

You don't need to do what the government says, do you? If they buy me an electric car I will certainly use it, but if not I will use my old Diesel car as long as it works ;)

Besides that, I don't trust gas - we have district heating, which is also gas powered, but there's no gas in my home ;)

@johannpiber We don't have district heating and yes I need sooner or later because if it comes to apps I can no longer use it, if it comes to gas they shut you off and if it comes to the car you can no longer buy it or get sued and banned from most places.

Forgot about the dial connection.. That was the last time I had a great connection, everything worked fine and I didn't need each year a heavier tool/apps/windows to join. ❤️

I think, if they ban stinky cars from the inner cities it's good, and also I wouldn't let normal cars drive in nature reserves.
When electric cars will get cheaper and you can reload the batteries everywhere I will certainly buy one, but now they are still too expensive and there are not enough places to reload the batteries.

I hated the dial-in connection and I was so glad, when I got the cable at home. So, I cannot imagine how you must feel with your !DERANGED bad connection.

@johannpiber It will at least take 20 years or longer before an electric car is affordable but also second hands are. Many depend on a car. Need it to get at work, to drive over an hour to it and back home. Less people would do the environment good too. Cities are not the dirtiest places because of cars only and fabric a new one is bad for the environment too. We waste way too much plus it is proved that since the 90's cars not became cleaner at all. Driving style plays a big role too. I remember there was a time trucks could not drive faster as 80 km/hour. Now I hardly see those trucks and wonder when that rule was stopped. They pass me by with 120 km where 80 is allowed. And what about all those maniacs driving 140-160 on roads where. 80 is allowed and people walk and bicycle? I doubt they will drive slower. Perhaps it is a great help to humans, animals and nature if we all can not drive faster as 80-100. We even might have less stress and driving can be fun again. I owned an oldsmobile (1970) it was relaxing to drive it. 80 was its max. 😁

My wife and I we do need even two cars, although we are working for the same company.

I do also like to drive slow and it is really relaxing, as you said, but especially our curvy mountain roads make so much fun driving faster than allowed ;) But as said, as soon as I can afford an electric car I will buy one.

@johannpiber Let me know if you have one. The positive thing is you can use your socket at home. The company has no load possibility. What I saw on the highways is not enough either. Only allowed to use it 1 hour is not enough if the battery is empty. It will be a long journey if you have to load for an hour for each 1-2 hours driving... I could write a book during these hours but over a distance of 1700 km it means I will never arrive. Great if you live in the city. But if I lived in the city I would have online shopping service delivery and could walk. Enjoy the mountains and stay safe. 💕

It will certainly take a few more years until I will have an electric car, because it is just as you say: Not enough places to reload, and I cannot reload it at home, because I'm living in an apartment.
If you need to drive 1700 km you might have to take one more week just to drive and reload the batteries ;)

@johannpiber Sorry to hear that. We had a few moments sun, no sunset. The days start with fog and end with it and it is freezing cold. The landscape is flat.
I hope the sun will show itself soon but think it will take 1-2 more weeks if I may believe the weather forecast(they never know we have fog here). ❤️

Never mind @wakeupkitty - this is the November, but I just cannot get used of this month ;)

Today was the first frosty morning, and I think the Winter is coming now. Maybe we will get some snow soon. Then I won't mind the bad weather, because I love snow and when it's snowing ... in the Winter, of course ;)
The gray will brighten up and the landscapes will have this beautiful wintry look with some fog ...

I don't believe the weather forecasts, but if I want to go somewhere to take photos I always look at a few different websites to see, what they have to tell.

@johannpiber I wish you luck with photographing new spots. They told us over a week ago tit would be snowing. Grateful it did not. It will not be much, melt fast in the dirty heaps of sheep shit on the road and I have to drive through. It is already slippery enough and am not looking forward to end up next to the road.

@johannpiber Very true, I wonder what is the fun part. I stay to help, translate, translate and translate, which is not always fun. Copy-pasting, switching screens on my phone. Videos and photos I can hardly load. I have to do it with the text. Without text there is no post. I also seem to bump into many sad or ill people. Perhaps they are most active. ❤️

The fun part is to do what you love - if I wouldn't love to go hiking and photographing it would be work, but so it is fun. Editing the photos afterwards and making a post of them is work, but this turns also into fun when I read the nice comments on my posts ;)

This is, why I am still doing it and why I will carry on doing it 🙂

@johannpiber I am not an important member. It shows out of nothing. Not the tips I gave/share. Noticed the amount of comments I receive?
I came here to write stories, leave them behind for my children. The thing is that I not even can find my own posts back and I am not so sure the blockchain saves it forever.
It is great to speak to you and other people, I can be busy with that day and night be I lose myself, I miss the writing, response and critics from writers, a kind of click and new challenge to improve... if there is something to.improve. 🤔 If my connection would be better I might only watch photos too. It is easier and more relaxing and I see the world.😁 Thanks for your support and kind words. I will see how I think about it at the end of the year..

You sound kind of depressive @wakeupkitty - that's not good. You should not resign - I didn't have many comments neither, before I joined the league, but now I spend more time in replying than in writing own comments or even posting.
I am no author, better said I prefer to blog about my daily life and post my photos. So, I cannot say what you could do better. Maybe one of the old members and writers could help if you contact them via commenting on their blogs.

Hope you make a good decision and get a better internet soon, because I see the slow connection as your main problem 🤔

@johannpiber I do not have more comments since I join the league, neither since I use the #cc tag.
I always commented on other people's posts and thanks to the contests I hosted I have contacts and extra work if it comes to translating and commenting. It is not that I am depressed (depression is something else) but I simply do not come to writing anymore. Now I do thanks to NaNoWriMo... I believe I am the only one still writing. 🤔 So not the only one struggling with time.

You mean I should resign the league or Steemit? I am not really busy with the league extra answering to be the best, this is what I daily do. I cannot even load the post of the league. It is too big/heavy for my connection. I only know where I ended if someone else remarks it.

Happy day, I find my way someway and already join and post less. Think 50% by now.

First: no, I do not think you should resign the league, because at least to me it was good and it helped me a lot.

I believe, if your connection was faster you would be able to do more in the little time you have, because most you do now is waiting for posts to load, and that's not good.

That's a lot of waiting time @wakeupkitty, but if you can do other things in between it should be ok for you - no, it isn't, and I would have searched for another internet provider or solution a long time ago. I would not be patient enough to wait.

@johannpiber At first I did, my kids too but it is not good for the mood I can tell you. Now we cook, clean, read, draw, etc in between.

@johannpiber Yes, I cook, clean, feed the wolves. At times I drive to town to pick up my child and back. 😁

If I need to upload an app of a few mb it takes me between 3 hours and 4 days. 😂

I seldom do that or go find a better connection. Sometimes the bank or supermarket have. Annoying is if an app no longer works because you are forced to update. WhatsApp, banks, the government app are examples of it.

Honestly, this reminds me on the nineties, when we had dial-in connections, and I still cannot believe that such slow connections still exist in Europe. At my parents house we have a bad connection too, especially in the house, but it is still much better than what you are telling. Even from the mountain peak where I have been a few weeks ago I could send photos via WhatsApp.

My engagement seems to be nice. Thanks as always. Amd good job to everyo e who is improving their game.

But my curation is still low. I changed things up on Friday though and hope to see it improved. There are various strategies I like and others that are to curation what performance enhancing drugs are to sports.

Looks like a nice Halloween fun ride this last week. I even managed to pick my pace up a little bit this week, and the weeklies look good, all up and running.

I'm late to the party on this one, too, but at least I'm saying something.

Off the chart completely again. Wasn't a very productive week STEEM-wise even though I had even more time to do something. Not sure why that happens, but it happened a couple of weeks last month. Perhaps I'm wearing down again.

I've got a monthly report to put out that I'm not sure if I'm going to like the numbers again. Even SP will be down this time. SNAX is pretty much the only positive. That will be up. :)

Thanks for being steadier than me. You're somehow managing to keep on the chart and in the upper parts of it. I find that pretty amazing, especially while working and interviewing for other work.

It's good to see the top two finishers above 9,000 again.
