Every individual holds certain moral values and lives their life based on them; any decisions made are grounded in these principles, and the person remains steadfast in upholding them. Possessing moral values is essential, as their absence can lead to difficulties in various aspects of life. It takes considerable time to cultivate these values, a process that begins in childhood. Parents play a pivotal role—through the upbringing they provide, the way they treat the child, and the behavior others exhibit toward the child. Furthermore, factors such as the school environment, the nature of one's friends, and the general atmosphere of the neighborhood—including the people living there—exert a profound influence on shaping these values.

A child's first school is their home, and it is there that they learn a great deal. The primary lesson learned is how to respect others; in households where elders are treated with respect, children naturally learn to honor and respect them as well. Indeed, learning how to respect people is the first and most crucial element in shaping an individual's moral values. You may have observed people who show absolutely no respect for others; often, this stems from never having witnessed such behavior during their upbringing, leaving them indifferent to distinctions of age or status and unaware of proper conduct in interactions. Mutual respect is essential for sustaining any relationship, as it is the foundation upon which a relationship can flourish and grow strong.

The next important factor is honesty. No one is born inherently honest or dishonest; rather, a person begins to observe these traits in their surroundings. If there are no checks or deterrents against dishonest behavior, an individual may choose that path; once they develop an interest in such actions, they tend to engage in them more frequently. Conversely, if a person sees their parents acting honestly—consistently choosing the path of integrity, avoiding lies, and adhering to the truth—they are likely to follow that same path of honesty and truthfulness throughout their own lives. Such qualities shape a person for the better, significantly influencing the character of anyone who embraces honesty and walks the path of truth.

Next comes the aspect of culture. Every individual possesses a unique culture and a distinct identity. A person learns a great deal from their culture, and others often judge them based on their understanding and appreciation of that heritage. If a person remains connected to their culture and does not forsake it, they can learn a great deal in life and evolve into a better individual.

One can learn a great deal from culture—values ​​such as truth, compassion, justice, and respect for others. That is why it is said that one should never forget one's culture. However, people today are becoming increasingly modern while simultaneously losing touch with their cultural roots.
This is unfortunate; if we ourselves forget our culture, what will we teach future generations about it? Ultimately, this could lead to our culture fading into oblivion.
