Just a reflection

You might know and you might not know but each day has its own good and bad in place for everyone. It has its own opportunity and threats for each and everyone of us.

Though some people has trained their mind and all they see each day is positivity and opportunity but if you reflect very well on how you spent the day, you will realize that there is something to correct and something to appreciate.

How did it started?

Just like every other average Nigerian, I woke with the mindset of getting things down before the end of the day but as God will have it, it has been an eventful day for me.

Oh! My bad, happy new month to you.

If you are reading this anytime, good day to you.

Back to the matter. I finally left home as early as I could so as to meet up with my CDS even though my plan was not attend the CDS but to make use of the light in charging my phone. 😂😂😂

The event.

The day went just as planned but with a little touch. The CDS started and I was among those that will write their name without paying late coming fee. I have been paying that fee for long.

Today is meant to be for clearance as everybody will collect their signed clearance form so as to proceed with their monthly biometrics according to their scheduled date but the signing took another form today. Our CDS coordinator insisted on using the attendance and those that failed to have 3 attendance out of 4 most especially last week attendance which was our outdoor sensitization day were handed a query letter which must be replied to. In the reply, they are to state the reason why they should be collecting allowances without coming for CDS. (Na late I dey late, no be say I no dey go.) 😎😎😎

The disappointment

While everyone was waiting for the woman to sign our clearance, the president came to inform me that he forgot my own clearance at home but he has sent for it.

I did not know whether to be happy or to be sad but I just kept a straight face and before we finished the discussion, the person arrived with my clearance.

Even if I did not have the required attendance, I am covered because my clearance will be signed alongside with the president's own.

As if that's not enough, the stress at the meeting was so much that I could not work on a project that a friend of mine sent to me to help him with because he was really busy at work.

It was a data science problem where I will be required to conduct time series analysis, calculate chi-square and build a linear regression model.

He is vast in python while I am knowledgeable in R. I explained to him but he said he only need the model and the result of the time series. I thought I will be able to do it but I was not. There was no time for me to do it at all.

As if all that is not enough, I got home only to realize that I forgot my charger at our place of meeting.

The unexpected

No day without a glimpse of unexpected occurrences. I was chatting with one of my brother and he said in a laughing but serious voice that I should not come home after my NYSC. I should rather find my way where I am.

I have been thinking about it and I will be done by February 2022. There is nothing much in Nigerian labour market and I will like to work with a private audit firm if I could see one but if not, I will keep writing till I break forth.

His words came unexpectedly but it has an impact on my day.

Where are your pictures?

My phone camera is not good but atleast, I tagged along while others are taking pictures.

If you could take a moment, you will realize that a lot have occurred within 24hours than you could imagine.

Thanks to @tattoodjay for the initiative. It was suppose to be a visit to a particular place but because I could not do that, that's why I decided to make the post a run down of my day. Thanks for reading.

Till I cross your path again, I am like a ready made pen in the hand of the creator. I am
