For a person whose working or studying all week, Sunday is like the day you really wanna enjoy. I had a plans to go "Bowling" which was re- opened with a revised cost. After like multiple postponements, me and my friends finalised it. But what added on to the fun, is that my friend Atul Shenoy invited me to a Family get together. It was an exquisite location and to be honest, one of the best ever place.

The party was helmed in a Villa, one among the best in and around Sasihitlu. The entrance of the place was classy. Me and Srinivas, another fellow friend arrived there at around 11:00 am in the earning. Snacks were arranged that included the Mangalore snack Biscuit Rotti, Gujrati snacks such as Dhokla and Kachori a North Indian savory. While we were enjoying the food, I met some of Atuls cousins too.
After that, we moved on to enjoy the beauty of the set up of the villa.
The beautifully arranged Hall, well furnished Bed rooms with some antique pieces in and around the entire house.

There was a small cricket bat which was signed by the master blaster Sachin Tendulkar. I was informed that when the Little master came to a Mangalore, he had signed it up for the owner of the villa.

Moving on we went to the first floor, which had a bed room and an awesome balcony view.
All of us took our turns to click pictures in various angles.

By then the time was around half past twelve, and the starters had begun. They were serving us three different starters. One was a mushroom fry, potato fritters and lastly cheese balls.

The photo sessions were never ending but finally we all settled down and Atuls cousins had planned a game for their parents.

It was a game for the couples as there were majority of them. Each person would be given a piece of paper, a question would be asked in relation to their spouse and they had to write it down.
For example if there was a question like " Favourite actor", each one was supposed to write their spouses favorite actor.

We all had some great laughs throughout the games.
At around 2 pm, we decided to break for lunch. This was my last hour at the party as I would be leaving back to the city at around 3.
So our lunch included all the Konkani styles dishes like Patrode, Dal etc apart from that there was Fried rice, Gobi Manchurian, Paneer Ghee roast (Another popular Mangalorean dish). There was a special sweet dish called Chiroti Halu. It is quite famous among the Brahman community of the South Canara region.

After an amazing lunch, I bid my adieu to Atuls mom dad. Not to forget right before that, we all posed for a group picture.

Atul dropped me to a nearby bus stand so that I could go to my next destination ASAP.

The fun I had next will be detailed in the next post.

Ciao
