My last weekend as the Beer Saturday designated driver
January 27th
I'm happy to have been the designated driver for Beer Saturday for the month of January. I'm also happy that the month of January is drawing to a close. We've a night away in Athlone next Sunday for an old friend's birthday, so looking forward to a few nice pints that night.
I always really enjoy @detlev's weekly Beer Saturday contests, and seldom miss a week, so even while on the dry, I've kept doing a Beer Saturday post. With great prizes of Hive, Leo, Beer and more up for grabs, is it any wonder?

We've been doing lots of nice walks near and far too, although some of these are from the summer months, can't wait for the days to start getting longer again and the adventures they'll bring.

As for the beers, I can taste a guinness when I see yours on the screen but it is that Sierra Nevada that is tempting me to hit the fridge right now!

Only two more sleeps, ha ha!! It's actually been good to give up the drink for a full month, that's two years in a row now, which is good going. I'm looking forward to a few pints now this weekend. I'll probably be under the table quickly as my tolerance will surely be down on usual!
Ah yes, the Sierra Nevada beers are always good, these guys were making IPAs before hipster was even a word! I remember drinking them in California in the early noughties when I was on a J1 visa during Uni summer holidays..
