What is the craic music lovers?? Any idea what day it is people of the planet?

Yep, It's Tuesday, which of course means one thing and one thing only, yep, that's right it's Three Tune Tuesday. It's a time of the week when lovers of music, tunes and craic bring their blockchain community three of their finest and brightest tunes to share and celebrate.

This will be my 57th week waxing lyrical for Three Tune Tuesday. It started off with me just sharing tunes into the void, but little by little others joined and now I'm thrilled that we have a little corner of Hive where we come and share our tunes every Tuesday, long may it continue. I almost stopped posting the songs and thoughts a few times, but I stuck with it and now interestingly it is my favorite thing about Hive. I love music and now I have a network of folks around the world who love music too and we share our tunes and catch up with each others tunes and discuss them each week. We get Pop, Metal, Rock, Gospel, Folk, Jazz, Rap, Hip-Hop, Trip-Hop, Reggae, Bippy bappidy Flange Hop. Ok I made that one up, but you get the idea, we are all learning about new artists, bands, back stories and sure isn't it just mighty!

We are adding New posters and retaining our core of regulars here on #TTT which is fantastic. Let's keep it growing and that playlist that @blackdaisyft is updating (when she gets time) will hit the 500 mark in no time. Thank you for doing that by the way daisy, when you do find time, as I like throwing on the playlist from time to time reminding myself of all of the sweet tunes that have been shared down through the months - Good on you.

Weekly, I try to find an hour or two to listen to all of the fantastic music shared from like-minded folk from around the globe. This has lead me to genres I don't know well and to some amazing new bands and artists and has even introduced me to some musical instruments I did not know existed.

I hope you enjoy the tunes - be sure to tell me all about it in the comments below and above all else, please enjoy the rest of your Tuesday - smile at a stranger, rub a dog, be a nice human to someone who was not expecting it - peace out.

For those unfamiliar with TTT or Three Tune Tuesday....

The jist is as follows

Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs which I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I'll come and find the post and upvote it. If you could also use #ttt or #threetunetuesday tags that would be great. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the prize - more on that later.

Here are my week fifty seven recommendations for Three Tune Tuesday

** Drum roll please.....**

The Flaming Lips - She Don't Use Jelly

This week's band are always worth a listen whatever the season and whatever the mood. They are always brilliant and especially if you're lucky enough to catch a live show. I am lucky enough to have tickets to see them at the Galway Arts Festival on Friday July 22nd, so I figured what better band to share with you all this week.

Let's kick things off with this great great song from 1993, fuck me sideways, that's almost thirty feckin years ago!! Where in the name if Jeebus is the time going to!? 😳

Enjoy the tune.

This is the song that set them on their way too, as they were on the verge of getting dropped by Warner brothers before this one becameba hit, as CouveTJ tells us below.

The Flaming Lips - God and The Policeman

I always like to share performances from Tiny Desk, as it's a brilliant place for music lovers to while away a few hours if they want to nourish their ears with gorgeous vibrations of air which their brains can interpret as music.

Starting at 6:54 if you want to just listen to God and The Policeman, that's where you need to jump to, but I recommend listening to the whole lot if you've got time and if these guys ever do a show in your area code, do yourself and favour and get some tickets.

The Flaming Lips - Yeah Yeah Yeah Song

We'll sign off with this cracker which I hope they play on the 22nd, fairly made music video, but it works, it really works.

They are a band that I sometimes forget about for a while and I'm then thrilled to remember them again and start listening to their quality albums.

ThreeTune Spotify Playlist

Our good friend and regular Three Tune Tuesday poster @blackdaisyft adds the ThreeTuneTuesday songs to an ever increasing Spotify playlist occasionally when time allows. You can check them out here:

Three Tune Tuesday Spotify Playlist

SBI contest

Share your Three Tune Tuesday songs below or create a post with #ttt or #threetunetuesday and mention me so I can find the post.

I'll pick the three songs I enjoyed the most each week as the winner and transfer 1 share of SBI to the winner when this post pays out 7 days from now.

Three Tune Tuesday Sponsor

My old pal and brother from another mother @blanchy has also committed a share of SBI each week and so have the two Three Tune legends @blackdaisyft and @por500bolos.

So if you win, then you will get not one, not two, not three but four shares of SBI! Not too shabby at all!

Best of luck!

Sin é, That's all folks, thanks for stopping by.

That's it for another week. Those are your three songs for week fifty seven. Let me know what you think - good, bad or indifferent? Did you like them all or just one or two?

Also, as I said before, I love getting good steers for new tunes, so please tell me about the latest and greatest from your playlist below and I'll be sure to check em out.

The YouTube videos shared are not owned by me and I am simply sharing great music with the community here on Hive

Thanks as always for stopping by everyone.

Peace Out

Good man, yep, I do particularly like Tuesdays, but maybe wednesdays more as that is usually the day I listen to most of the tunes and pick a winner!

I found this very funny and the music is very cool especially the rhythm of the third video which I found very catchy, you will surely enjoy the concert. The second video I couldn't see it from here, YT and its selfishness (xD).

Thanks for bringing your musical selection of that week :)

Festival season is in full flow. These were great and I had not heard The Flaming Lips. Hope you get the weather and your desired playlist on the 22nd when you see them:)

Yep festival season is upon us which is always great, I'm hopeful for a good playlist, but weather not so much! It's dangerous to be hopeful of such things in Ireland!

haha well, I hope you are having better weather than here. Been pissing it down for the last three days! Typical festival weather, so yeah at least if there is a good playlist, then it will be ok!

😂😂 yeah but weren't the early 90s great.

I never got into the Flaming Lips, so I didn't think I'd know the songs. Turns out they were all super familiar so it was obviously part of my background noise at the time! I'm sure they'll be awesomeness to see live!

Ya the 90s were unreal in fairness, that was the decade that I properly got into music!

I saw them live once before, but don't remember it clearly, as it was a festival and it was late in the night! They are supposed to be a really good live band though, so I'm looking forward to seeing what they have to offer.

I always mean to post on this initiative and have given plenty of thought to the bands and tunes I’d select. Flaming Lips was one of them. I’d have picked ‘she don’t use jelly’ but had another couple in mind to make up the 3. Perhaps I’ll save it for another time…

Ah Tales, good man, not surprised to hear that these guys are up your street. You should definitely join us one of these weeks to wax lyrical about some tunes, and sure The Flaming Lips have loads of good tunes, so you can still do a post on them.

I saw them live once, long ago in the Twin Cities; there were maybe 50 people, and everyone could sit down at a table and put headphones on to sync the music with their performance. Definitely was interesting!
