A tasty pint of IPA

This week I've got a nice tasty Indian pale ale from Sligo which is a county in the same province that my own home county Galway is in. It's a great county to go for surfing similar to Mayo Clare and Kerry - those would be some of the best surfing spots in Ireland and Donegal as well actually.

They're not just famous for their great surf spots though they also make tasty IPAs as I'm going to show you below.

This one is called The White Hag IPA and I enjoyed a pint of draft recently while out for a bite to eat.

We had a bite to eat as well as a couple of drinks but I must say the food was average at best. My 10-year-old son would do a better job and the chips than they managed. The fish was pretty tasty but was also a little bit overdone so overall wasn't a great feed.

Tamushi peas in Carrick tip made it a little bit more palatable than would have been without them.

Well Sláinte wherever you find yourself on this Beet Saturday at the start of April. I'm not sure what the weather is like where you guys are but it's blowing a bit of a storm here; not a hugely bad storm, but a storm nonetheless. That means that allnof today's sport is off.

So no early morning golf, no coaching my son's U8 team and no match and coaching for my other son's U11 team. I hate weekends when we can't play sport, as our weekends tend to revolve around sport these days.

It's not all doom and gloom though,my son is playing in a soccer competition in Limerick tomorrow. I'm the head coach, so hoping the lads do well. I have them playing some nice football at training, so I'm hoping it translates to the pitch tomorrow. This is the 16 teams that are taking part. Their first game is against Cherry Orchard which will be a stern test.
