Reasons to take pictures of my typewriters

We wander in an era where digital technology contaminates our days. Where sitting at a family meal, cell phones take center stage to cancel the interaction of those present. Where our hands find it hard to even write on paper. Where lovers prefer to send a cold emoji, than to say I love you sprouting from their lips.

Today I want to share photos of some old typewriters. Those iron totems that were invented in the 19th century, and that are still throbbing in our days.

Many world-famous writers put their great works on paper. Letters through the postal services traveled the world to express messages of love and heartbreak, hate and happiness, and so the whole diapason of emotions that sprout in each person.

Having these typewriters at home makes me relive family stories, of my grandfather and the teachings he gave me, of my parents' love in Europe, of my childhood, when I used to play with the keys, to see their typebars rise and feel the sound hitting the paper.

To see through these, certain stages of my life. An adolescence, where from playing, I went on to sit focused on writing letters of love or friendship.
Anointed to the excitement of putting a stamp on the envelope, and that the days and weeks were responsible for my letters to reach their destination.

I am sure that many of you were excited to await the arrival of the letter carrier, to receive the answer to our ideas, questions, and all those feelings deposited on a sheet of paper.

Mechanical devices manufactured with quality materials to last over time. Years, where the analog era imposed excellence in their products. Not like now, where functional obsolescence leads you to repurchase with great frequency.

Today, where everything smells of digits, where Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain with all its variants, and web 3.0 is spreading every day.

Seeing, touching, using and even photographing these typewriters or any item considered vintage, is something that permeates with pleasure in my soul making me navigate in time.

In this final photo of a Remington 10, we see a large part of its iron mechanism, which achieves its functionality, thanks to the mastery of its creators.

On the other hand, in the first photo, I did not remove the dust accumulated in the mechanism where the typebars are fixed, to give more realism to the image.
It is amazing that beautiful design, and that every day is more valued by lovers of vintage and its history.

The analogy comes to me to the rays of the sun, which bring warmth and energy to everyone; but each one, with their daily actions, will mark on the paper of their destiny, the consequences of the hammering of their actions.

For all these reasons, I wanted to share photos of some of my typewriters. They deserve to remain alive and eternal in the Blockchain.

Thanks to those who read me. I wish you all, a beautiful weekend.
