Jyoti, "the heroine of our time" …✊🙌

Greetings to all and sundry on this our noble platform, I welcome you all to my block once more, and today I write to submit my entry for the third edition of this week's contest (i.e., Week 45 edition 3), featuring the topic "The Absence of Rights." The story I would be sharing with you is not my personal story but the story of a young girl, whom I referred to as a "heroine," who stood firm and fought for her rights when her parents wanted to deny her rights. Stay tuned with me as I write to share this inspirational story with you.

The story I will be telling is of a young girl from a small village in India who was denied the right to choose the man she would marry. It is a story of struggle and resilience about a young girl who refused to give up her rights and fought for her freedom.

The girl's name was Jyoti, and she was 17 years old when her parents decided to arrange her marriage. Jyoti had dreams of going to school, of becoming independent, and of having a career of her own, but her parents wanted her to stay in their small village and marry the man they chose for her.

Jyoti tried to reason with her parents, reminding them that she had a right to choose the man she wanted to marry and that no one should be able to take that away from her. Her pleas fell on deaf ears. Her parents were unwilling to listen and determined to continue with the arranged marriage.

Jyoti felt helpless, but she refused to give up her rights. She knew she had to do something, and she refused to accept her fate. With the help of her friends, she started a campaign to raise awareness of her plight. She organized a protest in her village and reached out to the media to tell her story.

She hoped that her story would reach the government, which would then take action to protect her rights and ensure that no one could take away her right to choose her own husband.

The campaign worked, and Jyoti’s story was covered by the media. The government soon stepped in and passed a law that prohibited anyone from forcing someone to marry against their will. Jyoti’s story spread across India and beyond, inspiring countless other women to fight for their rights and demand the same freedom.

Today, Jyoti is a symbol of strength and resilience for women around the world. Her story serves as an example of what is possible when you stand up for your rights and refuse to accept injustice. Jyoti’s story is a reminder that no one should have their rights taken away from them. It is a reminder that we all have the right to choose our own destinies and to live our lives free from the constraints of others.

Every day, Jyoti reminds us to never give up on our rights and to continue to fight for our freedom. Her story is an inspiration for us all and we should take it as a lesson and never let our rights be denied of. It is the right of everyone to education, freedom, life, etc., and so we shouldn't be denied of them no matter the condition we found ourselves.

I know some of us would have accepted the decision of Jyoti's parents if we were in her shoes, but with boldness and confidence, Jyoti was able to fight for her right and freedom as well.

Thank you all for your time and attention. I would like to hear from you in the comment section under this post. I hope that you all have learned something from her story. Note that this story was narrated to me years back and I haven't confirmed yet whether it is a real story or a fiction but all being the same, it is an inspirational and educative story worth of emulating.

Thank God the government didn't turn deaf ears to her protest because it is what can happen because of how cruel our government is.
She stood for her rights with courage and boldness and this is something we need to emulate but because we are afraid to speak up, we are being denied of our right to say what we feel in our mind.

Jyoti was a symbol of a bold lady who helped others in such a situation.

Thank God for Jyoti her story was a completely different one from what we are facing today. She stood up for her right and she got what she wanted, these days we cannot take such risk because we are scared.

Yeah very true, because the authorities of these days are injustice even if you come out to protest for your right, you will end up having nothing and would even put you into trouble if care isn’t taken.

Thanks for stopping by, really appreciate your comment.
