"To Err is Human" - Let's forgive each other

Hello everyone, I welcome you all once again to my blog and I am very excited to write and share this interesting and important article with you all. Today, I write to share my entry to the Hive Ghana weekly challenge. I will be writing on the topic “FORGIVENESS”. As the saying goes "To Err is Human", and as such we all are bound to make mistakes but the only thing that can bring us back to our normal way of living after that mistake is to forgive each other. No one is perfect and in one way or the other, we will surely make a mistake or wrong someone, and the best thing is to ask for forgiveness without wasting much time after you realize that.

No one is above asking for forgiveness, it is because of pride and arrogance that usually keep some people from asking for forgiveness when they wrong other people. Forgiveness is something that strengthens the bond between two or more people after a quarrel or a misunderstanding happens between them. I would say forgiveness should go with pardon and forgetfulness as well. This is because, once you forgive and you don't forget about what happened, you will surely use that error against the person again and that can cause another misunderstanding.

It is hard to forgive and forget though, but even if we can't forget about what happened we should try as much as possible to forgive anyone who wrongs us in one way or the other. I am the kind of person who hates disappointments and dishonesty. Once I spot that you don't deserve my trust, I tend to change my way of living with you. I easily forgive though, but it sometimes depends on the kind of wrong done to me, if it is hard to the extent that I have to distance myself from you, I do that so I can have peace of mind.

As an introverted person, I don't want to see myself in quarrels or misunderstandings with anyone. I believe to have peace of mind, you just be you and nothing else. You don't have to put your trust in people and also know how you relate with your people because not everyone has the kind heart that you have. It is a good idea to forgive your colleagues once they ask for it when they realize they have wronged you. Sometimes it is hard to do though but just to keep your friendship and relationship moving, you have to accept their forgiveness.

I can remember a very tight and good friend of mine broke a trust I had for him and since then I lost that 100% trust I had for him earlier because what he did was astonishing and I never expected that from him. Forgiveness is something good, and it is the best way to rebuild your friendship or relationship with someone especially when there is a misunderstanding.
