I was at Lorong 8 Toa Payoh on Sunday afternoon looking for a snack. The hawker center was quite breezy and not too crowded during the late afternoon, with plenty of empty seats under the big ceiling fans.
周日下午我在大巴窑的Lorong 8号找点零食。下午晚些时候，熟食中心风大凉爽，人也不是很多，大吊扇下有许多空位。
I spotted a stall called "You Tiao Mei" (油条妹) at stall #01-36, which has some really cute branding.
我注意到在#01-36档口有一家叫“油条妹”的摊位，招牌设计得挺可爱的。😎
They had various fried snacks nicely displayed in the glass showcase, but their signature Tau Suan for $2.50 caught my attention.
玻璃展示柜里整齐地摆放着各种油炸点心，但最吸引我注意的是售价 $2.50 的招牌豆爽。
I bought two cups of the warm Tau Suan to share, and they came in these cute yellow takeaway cups topped with crispy dough fritters. The sweet mung bean dessert was nice and thick, and eating it with the crispy, savory you tiao was so satisfying on a Sunday afternoon.
我买了两杯热腾腾的豆爽和家人分享，它们盛在可爱的黄色外带杯里，上面还铺满了香脆的油条。甜甜的绿豆爽浓稠度刚刚好，在星期天下午配上香脆带咸的油条一起吃，真是太满足了。

Oh I don't know what Tao Suang is, but that soft bread as topping makes it look tasty 😋 and also the cute branding of course! I love how joyful a place full of food stalls looks 🤩
Those takeaway cups look so convenient for eating tau suan on the go. Dipping the crispy you tiao into that warm mung bean dessert sounds like the ultimate comfort food for a lazy afternoon.
