Went out of office to buy lunch on Thursday. After buying a fishball noodle, I decided to go into Fairprice Supermarket to take a quick look. Lo and behold, I saw cherry tomatoes selling at but two get one free. They are from Malaysia and not the ones I like from Thailand but who cam pass on a buy two get one free offer.  
星期四出去买午餐。 买了鱼丸面后，决定去平价超市看看。 瞧，有樱桃番茄在卖，买两包送一包。他们来自马来西亚，可是我喜欢的来自泰国，但有买二送一的优惠，谁能拒绝。

On opening, they look lovely. I went to the Fairprice Supermarket at Toa Payoh but I found they weren’t selling the same type of tomatoes. Went home and I tried a couple of them. Nice but my favourite is still the ones from Thailand.

Who could resist buy two, get one free!? Not me! Are they a better deal than the ones from Thailand? They look like they taste good! Are they vine-ripened or hothouse tomatoes?

My apologies for being so late this week! As you can see from my post, I was looking at a piece of property, probably three hours away from where I live and I had to go back several days in a row (spending all day there.) Six hours on the road and being there for hours took my entire day away, and here I am on Monday doing #MarketFriday! Sorry!

#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers' markets, and eventually branched out and evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but, it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, and even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact that is these things are normal for us. There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world.

With buy two two get one, it was better deal but slightly more expensive when at usual price. Don’t know the culture technology behind them.
