Journeying Through Time: Memories of Great-Grandma's Era and Today

Years pass by, mentalities change, clothes change, and the tools we use for our daily mundane chores vary from one decade to another. All my grandparents have passed away, and I barely remember my great-grandma...

I met her a couple of times when I was a kid, and from what I remember, she was still wearing our traditional outfit. When she visited us during the summer, she always wore her handmade sandals, and most of her outfit was handmade.

She lived to be 92 years old, only getting sick in her last few years. She spent almost her entire life in a remote village nestled between the mountains, and she probably never felt what stress was...

On one hand, I love our modern living with all these gadgets that make our lives easier, but on the other hand, these things are stealing so much quality time from us, dragging us into an endless virtual world.

The realm of the internet is bottomless... I could not pick between one age or the other if I could turn back time and choose my birth era...

I guess every era has its beauty and its flaws, and we need to learn how to make the most of what we have, like people did forty or fifty years ago.

Anyway, here is one of the last batches of photographs I have from the museum I visited a few weeks ago. These ones depict so accurately the times my great-grandma lived. I think I'll have to visit her village soon...
