Bitcoin has quite a way of making fun of us... For a few months now whenever it breaks out to the upside fueling the masses with hopium it takes back most of the gains it teases us with in a very short time afterwards.

Bitcoin is such a bitch... :).

Actually, it isn't, though. It's probably the first sound money the world has ever had... At least to my "uneducated and amateur opinion". Some analysts attribute Bitcoin's slow and sluggish performance to the recession.

Some say the recession is already priced in, others are still waiting for signs of it. I personally don't see any of these yet, but I'm expecting them to come in the next few months. Inflation is insane, though. According to official sources, it has reached 15% in my country, but I think it is far beyond that.

Malls are still quite populated and people all around are buying all sorts of stuff like there's no financial threat at all, myself included.

A couple of days ago I made my last "non-necessary" purchases for this year and probably for quite some long time ahead. I'm expecting turmoiled times and I don't want to be spending that much anymore.

I needed a rain jacket, a not-so-thick one. I was thinking about it for a few days and while "strolling down the mall" from one shop to another and I found this red one that fits me really well. It was exactly what I was looking for and got it at a huge discount.

Its initial price was $70, but it got reduced to something like $38 and I actually paid for it something like $20 because a couple of friends that accompanied me for shopping bought something for themselves as well and there was this offer where if you bought two items, the third one would be free.

Hence, my jacket got a discount on top of another quite chunky discount from its original price. Got me some waterproof boots as well. I don't have any proper ones and I want to be prepared for the winter.

So, I mentioned in the introduction something about a recession and the title is also hinting at that, but as mentioned in the introduction also, I don't see any signs of it yet. The traffic is insane, although diesel and gasoline are still high in price and consumers are on a consumer spree.

Many don't realize that the only way of taming inflation would be to push the economy into a recession and that's not good for us consumers... Now, I don't know how crypto will behave during such times, but I hope it will do decently because most of my savings are in crypto right now and it's not stablecoins...

Oh, I forgot about the boots, these cost around $90 in my native currency. I hope they're worth it. It's time now to "play a low profile" once again and think twice before spending money. I don't have a good feeling about the next few months and years ahead and I need to be cautious.

I also hope that people will wake up and get out on the streets because it's all gone too far. We need to do something and cut the crap that we've been served for so many years by our leaders. Time to "log out" now. Wish you all a good day/evening and see you tomorrow.

Thanks for your attention,
Adrian

We are in a supply chain and policy driven recession.

And… an outcome of more than a decade long of recklessly low interest rates pushing asset prices into unsustainable mother of all bubbles.
