Sun Blissed: It's The Simple Things That Matter

avatar

Today marked the first day of 2024 that I could go out for my walk just wearing shorts and a t-shirt. It's still April, but we had temperatures well above 20 degrees Celsius at noon in this part of the world. I find this weather to be premature, but I love it.

I'm a big fan of full-blown springs. Don't get me wrong; I do love snow-filled winters and hot, sunny summers spent by the pool as well, but springs are my favorite. It's that type of weather allowing me to go out wearing sneakers, shorts, and a t-shirt, making me want to spend the whole day outside, and I had it today.

I got to spend a beautiful day almost entirely outdoors. I went for coffee in the morning, had my walk in the afternoon, went to the gym, and had another walk after the gym... I even bought a pair of ping-pong paddles because the new park we have has some ping-pong tables, and I'll probably play for a bit tomorrow.

It's fascinating how just a simple sunny day of spring can have such an impact on one's mood. Although being fully immersed in CT and looking at charts, making assumptions, and trying to foresee how this bull market is going to get me out of poverty, I realize that sometimes all you need is just sun and chill.

It's that simple... I know, I'd love to have a newer and better car, I'd love to travel to places, get new clothes, spend money on all sorts of gadgets, but sometimes simple things seem to bring much more joy than all these fancy, shiny gizmos that catch our attention so often.

I'm a smartphone addict, I admit it. I spend literally 6-7 hours with my eyes glued to my iPhone screen almost every day, and 90% of that time is spent doing repetitive stuff... I'm not reinventing the wheel with these things I'm doing with my phone. However, when actually getting off it, it feels so liberating.

It's like getting in touch with myself again... But on the other hand, as I was telling my father today, if it weren't for consumerism, inflation creation, credit, and loads of tech gizmos entering the market every day, we wouldn't be here.

Somehow we've chained ourselves with all that stuff, but on the other hand, these things drive our society's progress and probably us as a species. Elon Musk was talking today about making Teslas fully autonomous in 1.5 years, and we just got to see the first individual benefiting from a Neuralink chip implant.

We've come so far, and there's still plenty to explore. Who knows, maybe at some point we will be able to live interplanetary. Maybe...

Meanwhile, I am very confident about the bull market in crypto; I believe alts have not yet shown their strength, I do love my sunny days spent in this part of the world, I realize it's the simple things that matter, but I still want more. I have so many unfulfilled wishes that steal my present moment. I do...

Maybe once the bull market is over and some of these will be fulfilled, I will be able to enjoy the present more. Maybe... Or it is just my monkey mind playing games with me, keeping me busy. We will see. Until next time, have a great day, and Hive on!

Thanks for your attention,
Adrian
