"The Great Awakening"

You probably won't believe it, but when I used to be a simple individual of the legacy system, most of the work that I've done to be able to make a living I was actually hating it. I worked anything from a salesperson to construction worker, mailman... you name it.

I would have to blame all of that on my lack of direction which originated in my full of alcohol and parties teenage years. I'm still not very well "directed" today either, but at least I'm not forcing myself in doing anything I don't like in order to be able to make a living.

You would be surprised to find out how many individuals around the world are working a job they actually literally hate or are forced to do that in most cases because they're in debt, and how just very few have the power to cut the cords of such slavery and just switch to something they love doing and fulfills them.

I met with a close friend of mine yesterday. I haven't seen her for a couple of years I guess. She lives in Belgium for probably a decade now and she only comes to Romania once or twice a year or so, but we don't meet every time she comes around.

She used to be in such a position of hating what she was doing as a profession for quite a few years, but all of that is a thing of the past. Now she's working as an English teacher at some school in Bruxelles, she invited me there as well, and also told me that there's a huge demand for such teachers.

Why you would ask... Well, someone's heaven might sometimes be another person's hell. According to her statement, it seems that since covid got spread all over the world and we've gone through the shitty pandemic we had there has somehow begun an awakening for the working class.

People are not as desperate to work "anything" anymore as they were just a few years ago. Many of these English teachers in Bruxelles have quit their jobs en masse over the past couple of years and started new careers that they actually love.

Her boyfriend was a banker, until like one year or so ago, and now he's working as a gardener and planning on making his own gardening company. He was passionate about gardening ever since he was a teenager, but school, parents, and society have somehow managed to push him toward the banking sector.

Bankers probably earn better than gardeners do and as a banker, you also have a different status. We're going through some shift lately, the way I see it. It probably has to do with the remote work that has been promoted for the past few years as well and some individuals seem to have had enough and looking for different ways of making a living. Something that's not just putting food on the table.

I am personally "scared" of the idea of getting back in the system and working some regular shitty job. I'm also somehow grateful that I can still earn "something" through Hive and my hopes are we will soon get out of the bear market so I can be more secure in terms of my personal finances.

I love happy life stories, though, I'm not much of a fan of happy ending ones, thus I was happy to find about some peeps I know who have managed to ditch the stressful jobs they had and switched to more fullfiling ways of earning a living. I bet that if everyone would love what they do, life on this planet would be much more vibrant and meaningful. It is possible to accomplish that, but we need many others to be "awaken".

Crypto sure has the ability to push the norms in that regard.

Thanks for your attention,
Adrian

He's just saying you should consider including subheadings and links to other leofinance.io articles in order to help them rank on Google.

You have so much consistently great content that could help drive ongoing organic traffic instead of just making these short-term articles.

The great awakening happens if you can afford it. It is hard to push yourself to a hobby or passionate job if you have responsibilities, people depend on you and you cannot provide by doing that. While there is a shift in the markets, I think most of those that did the change somehow afforded it.

True. You have to at least have the will to change before actually making the move. Some don't even envision that.

Interesting story, thanks for sharing it.

Just like you, I switched between at least 5-6 professions before settling on freelancing which I also hate but it got me into crypto so I can't really complain.

After talking to a ton of people on this same subject it seems to me that almost everyone hates their job because it is meaningless while at the same time being presented as something desirable.

If you take bankers as an example, expectations for that job are always grandiose but where I come from bankers don't have much to do in banks other than call clients that are late on their payments or make them sign papers before reading them. Imagine going to school and learning all that math just to end up in the customer support department...

This awakening we all keep referring to is happening but it will probably take a shit ton of time. For me, and for you, as I would assume, it had to happen naturally and I had to be the guy that says "enough of this bullshit, you need to change some shit in your life". This is not an easy step for many people out there because their social pressure levels aren't as high and thus they feel no need to change anything, which is a completely rational thing to do from their perspective.

We live in interesting times and I have a feeling the show is just getting started. All we can do is get a good view and wait for it to start I guess.

When you say enough with this bullshit you open the door for good things to happen.

Yes, that's bitcoin myk use case. Ubi allows people to choose because when you forced to work a job you don't like what's the difference in that and slavery? There is no difference you're a slave basically. So that's why when people laugh and say bitcoin myk won't work. The jokes on them because crypto doesn't work because you need money first to be free in most projects so that's not a solution for people forced to work as slaves. bitcoin myk is the only crypto that truly offers them any real solution, so they will rather in the future be part of that.

Crypto and remote work has really changed our perception of money and how we earn it. It's such a nice feeling and for those of us that literally have no other option, it is a life saver.

Do you see yourself taking the teaching job?
