Where Do We Go From Here?

I just finished an hour-long phone talk with my sister who's turned quite anarchic lately, as she seems inclined towards escaping the system and the status quo of 21st-century so-called modern society. She wants freedom; she does not want a bank account anymore but still has some "traditional fiat money" and internet-related desires and habits.

The only way out of this is going full-time on crypto, and even then, you can't say you've escaped the system. At some point, you're gonna hit some walls of the traditional system, and there's basically no way to jump over them. Like having a car, for example... You can't have that without paying taxes and having insurance that allows you to drive on public roads.

You can't have a car without physical money, and even if you go full-time on crypto, you would still not be able to pay for any car anyway using crypto, register it, and pay taxes in crypto... To some extent, you can use crypto cards and somehow circumvent the system, but in reality, what these crypto cards are doing is automatically dumping your crypto for fiat before finalizing your purchase for which you opted out to pay with crypto.

I used to be a hater of artificial intelligence until a few good months ago, but I've come to realize that some individuals around the world are leveraging it in such a manner that they've come to the point of gaining financial freedom through the use of AI.

I hate to say it, but automation is here, and it is here to stay. Convenience asks for reliance on technology, and technology is neutral in use; it doesn't care, or better said, it can't react or protest against its user. The internet is there for everyone, and one can use it as a predator, while others can change their lives for the better and for their families by leveraging the internet's capabilities.

AI and automation are going to kill a lot of jobs, but at the same time, they are opening the gates for financial abundance and freedom. A couple of weeks ago, I went shopping for a keyboard, and while strolling through the mall, I noticed that these places are less and less crowded, and it is not because of any recession; the traffic on the streets tells a different story.

Malls will, at some point, become ghost towns as people will interact less and less with each other, buy almost everything from the internet, and resort to addressing AI-powered customer support instead of going to a showroom. The same thing will happen to banks, travel agencies, taxi companies, and so on and so forth. Uber and Airbnb are some great examples in this regard.

Neither of them has either cars or buildings, but both of them are selling either accommodation or ride-sharing services. The same will happen with all sorts of services, and before you know it, we will witness parallel economies expanding themselves. The fact that the stock market and crypto are booming while some economies are already in a technical recession is because the guys analyzing the data for declaring whether a country is in a recession or not are looking at outdated data.

I hate to say it, but at some point, driving a car will become outdated. I like driving, and although I am not putting insane mileage on my car, I do enjoy driving it every day. However, when it comes to long drives, I would definitely prefer to have a fully autonomous car driving me to my destination. I want full control over that vehicle, same as I love having custody over my funds (my keys, my coins).

Where Do We Go From Here?

We've come so far with technological developments, and it seems that we haven't even scratched the surface with what technology can do in terms of breakthroughs and helping us overcome our limited potential. Where do we go from here? I don't know, but I am rather curious than fearful...

Thanks for your attention,
Adrian

Buying from the internet and getting delivery at home is the sweetest part of crypto. The stress of generating income from cryptocurrency and trying to get it down to fiat money for transaction will not make us enjoy. Let there be more and more online retailers and service providers to really ease the flow of crypto operations.

So far I haven’t purchased anything directly with crypto but maybe in the future that will be possible.

I did not know that about the crypto cards and how they handle the token. I've taken to shopping more online and having things delivered due to this area being awash in crime, and not wanting to be hassled and followed around by loss prevention people in retail stores.

This will be "the year without winter" for us as well.

You're also right about malls, as our largest was mostly torn down, and the other is turning into a ghost town after losing tow of its three anchor stores. The future will be very different indeed.

I’ve been using crypto debit cards for a few years now and the experience has been pretty good. The only downside with the one from crypto.com is that I can’t add it to my iPhone wallet. Binance has ceased support for theirs so I have to use the crypto.com one.
