What are you inviting in today?

You get to decide what lives in your head and what doesn't.

Tú decides qué vive en tu mente y qué no.

Gossip, constant notifications, the inner critic that never seems to take a day off. These things don't announce themselves as problems. They just quietly eat away at your focus, your energy, and your peace, until one day you notice something feels off.

What you consume and the stories you tell yourself shape you more than most productivity advice ever will. But you don't need to overhaul your entire life to feel better. You just need to start noticing what's taken up residence without an invitation.

So here's something worth sitting with this week: what's one distraction or negative influence you could let go of *right now* to feel a little lighter?

I gave up watching TV news years ago. Now, if I want to read about a news event I must click on it. I am in control.

Hey, one more thing we have something in common! 😀👍 We even went a step further...we don't own a T.V. 😁 We choose entretainment online and we search different sources for news if we are interested in something.

I do enjoy watching an occasional show or my favorite sporting events on a big screen, but imy TV usually only gets used a few times each week.

They just quietly eat away at your focus, your energy, and your peace, until one day you notice something feels off.

I have found having family and friends who can be sounding boards or provide "come to Jesus" type conversations helpful. Sometimes you don't know you are heading in a negative direction, but those around you can see it happening and lovingly bring it to your attention. Other times I know I'm in a funk and will talk about it with someone to work through it.

I love this; this is what shapes my life. I lost good money when the stock market crashed. Instead of bemoaning the lost, I started thinking about Colonel Harland Sanders (KFC) who became a millionaire after 70 years and I believe I will rise again .... That's what I bring into my mind today and everyday. Thanks for sharing
