Which is the best reward card?

When confronted with new cards, it's not always easy to find out which cards are powerful and which ones are not. I've discovered a way to figure out which cards are better than others with the help of an objective indicator. I will show you how you can do this analysis for yourself in the video. I will also apply this indicator to check which cards among the new reward cards are the most powerful.

It can be quite useful while defining your long term strategy, to have an idea which cards are considered better than others by the players in general.

They can really help in selecting which cards to upgrade and which not. But in the end you still need to make a good strategy to win the games :-)

Thanks a lot for your comment. Playing is the best way to improve our strategies but it's definitely a good idea to learn from others. The combination of both is the stright way to success on Splinterlands :-)

I think just playing with them is a better way to figure out which is the best.

Surely all these recent burns show us is how many absolutely clueless people have been dropped each of these cards, given that burning even the lowest legendary gives you around 20-25% what you could sell it for if you just waited a few hours.

There was a time when burning was worth it, but that time is not now!

The best would be to have some statistics which cards are played most and at what levels. I haven't found these numbers yet.

I have often discarded cards because I didn't like to play them. I failed to take into consideration that upgraded versions can be much more powerful. So I try not to rely on that alone.

I kind of like to look at these burn sats especially for common and rare cards when deciding which cards are worth upgrading. For legendaries, at todays burn prices, people are really clueless if they burn these cards :-)

Thanks a lot for stopping by!

I love Mercenary. I do mess with Oshannus a lot too but wow...So much to take in.

Mercenary is really a great card especially once it has healing ability. Once we will know the reward cards well, it will be time to learn about all the new chaos legion cards lol

That's one pretty good indicator, the burn rate. We have to keep in mind that in earlier days the prices of some cards were below the burn rates so people burned them simply because it was profitable. No longer something to worry about, but for older cards, this element needs to be taken into consideration.

You would wonder why people are still burning cards lol. I once burnt a GFL because I couldn't sell it on the market and I got 75'000 DEC for doing it lol.

Burning a GFL must've be painful... But 75k DEC is good chunk of change, if you needed it.

At that time I couldn't sell the card for this price so in the end it was the best for me to burn it :-)

Wow the analysis is quite accurate based on my experience too!

Hmm out of curiosity, why would people burn the cards when they can sell the cards? The price on the markets is way above the DEC burn value.

That is a very good question. Sometimes card and burn price can be similar and then it can make sense to burn cards. I've done that. I even burnt a gold foil legendary once because nobody would buy it from the market and at the time I got 75'000 DEC for burning it. Now I kind regret for doing it lol.
