Actions required in my local area (ENG/ESP)
In every town there are pending issues and by pending issues I mean the actions for the improvement and maintenance of the community in which we live, because if we do not take corrective actions or maintenance everything is deteriorating and when we realize everything is on the ground and more complicated to solve, I speak of this from experience as I live in a small community that has approximately 61 years of created and as expected and although actions have already been taken, there is still much to do and there are always new things to address.
This week the community @ecotrain (@hive-123046) brings us in his weekly question a very interesting topic to which I will answer with pleasure, if you want to participate here I leave the link with all the information.
What actions do you think are necessary in your local area?
As I mentioned in one of the previous paragraphs the Urbanization in which I live is approximately 61 years old and as expected if in communities with less time built there are things to do for the improvement of urbanisms, imagine here. I believe that many of you, especially if you are Venezuelan, know about the existence of the much criticized Communal Councils, which although in many cases have been used for the benefit of the spokespersons, in other cases they have worked for the benefit of the community.
In the case of the Urbanization, my mother, sister and I were spokespersons for the Community Council and several actions were achieved such as painting the buildings, waterproofing the roofs, replacing the garbage downspouts, rehabilitating the playground and the sports field, replacing the walkways, among others, but there were things pending and those that have arisen over time.
Now, among the pending things is the paving of the parking lot, it is very deteriorated and besides looking very ugly, from the aesthetic point of view, it is detrimental to the vehicles and recently a neighbor suffered an accident due to its poor condition, she fell and fractured her hand and had to be operated to return her fingers to their place, Also a few years ago the urbanization was closed to prevent access to strangers and street vendors, but by not performing the respective maintenance to the parking lot fence and pedestrian gates were deteriorating and many were damaged, We were without this protection for a long time until we were able to organize ourselves again and partially repair the gate and some of the doors, that is, there are still actions to take and above all to execute to reestablish this system at 100%, we were able to establish a monthly fee to be used for maintenance, but many neighbors seem not to appreciate the security that this gives us and are not up to date with the monthly payments and they did not pay for the repair of the gates.
On the other hand, the lighting of the Urbanization although it is public is also very old and there have been problems with deteriorated cables and some poles do not light because of this and as there are no replacements have been invented some solutions, which in theory are temporary, but remain, the last of them quite dangerous from my perception, since the wires are exposed and any child or person can trip and fall plus if it rains and floods the garden that crosses could occur a short.
In the same way, the park that was rehabilitated is currently in a terrible state and the same happens with a good part of the perimeter wall that shows cracks, but I believe that the main action that should be taken is to create awareness in each and every one of the neighbors, because if we do not have a sense of power, collaboration and love for what is ours, little by little things will deteriorate.
I cannot leave without first encouraging you to try to preserve and take care of what is ours and not just wait for someone else to do it, if we all put a grain of sand it is easier, so I say goodbye until a future publication.
En toda localidad hay asuntos pendientes y con asuntos pendientes me refiero a las acciones en pro de la mejora y mantenimiento de la comunidad en la que habitamos, ya que de no tomar acciones correctivas o de mantenimiento todo se va deteriorando y cuando nos percatamos todo está en el suelo y más complicado para solucionar, hablo de esto desde la experiencia ya que vivo en una comunidad pequeña que tiene aproximadamente 61 años de creada y como es de esperarse y aunque ya se han tomado acciones, aún hay mucho por hacer y siempre surgen cosas nuevas por atender.
Esta semana la comunidad @ecotrain (@hive-123046) nos trae en su pregunta semanal un tema muy interesante al cual dare respuesta con mucho gusto, si tu deseas participar por acá te dejo el enlace con toda la información.
¿Qué acciones cree que son necesarias en su área local?
Como ya les mencioné en uno de los párrafos anteriores la Urbanización en la que vivo tiene aproximadamente 61 años de creada y como es de esperarse si en comunidades con menos tiempo de construidas hay cosas que hacer en pro de la mejora de los urbanismos, imagínense aquí. Creo que muchos de ustedes, sobre todo si son venezolanos conocen la existencia de los tan criticados Consejos Comunales, que si bien en muchos casos han sido utilizados en beneficio de los voceros, en otros han trabajado en pro de la comunidad.
En el caso de la Urbanización mi madre, hermana y yo fuimos voceras del Consejo Comunal y se lograron varias acciones como pintar los edificios, impermeabilización de los techos, sustitución de los bajantes de basura, rehabilitación del parque infantil y la cancha deportiva, sustitución de las caminerías, entre otros, pero quedaron cosas pendientes y las que han surgido con el tiempo.
Ahora bien, entre las cosas pendiente está el pavimentar el estacionamiento, esta muy deteriorado y además de lucir muy feo, desde el punto estético, va en detrimento de los vehículos y hace poco una vecina sufrió un accidente debido a su mal estado, ella cayo y se fracturo una mano debió ser intervenida para devolver los dedos a su lugar, así mismo hace ya unos años se cerró la urbanización para impedir el acceso a desconocidos y de vendedores ambulante, pero al no realizarle el respectivo mantenimiento a la reja del estacionamiento y las puestas peatonales se fueron deteriorando y muchas se dañaron, sí que estuvimos sin ese resguardo un buen tiempo hasta que logramos organizarnos nuevamente y reparar el portón y algunas de la puertas de manera parcial, es decir todavía hay acciones que tomar y sobre todo ejecutar para restablecer este sistema al 100 %, se logró establecer una cuota mensual para ser usado en el mantenimiento, pero muchos vecinos parieran no apreciar la seguridad que esto nos brinda y no están al día con las mensualidades y tampoco pagaron para el arreglo de las rejas.
Por otro lado, el alumbrado de la Urbanización aunque es público también está muy viejo ya se han presentado problemas con cables deteriorados y algunos postes no alumbran debido a ello y como no hay repuestos se han inventado algunas soluciones, que en teoría son temporales, pero permanecen, la última de ellas bastante peligrosa desde mi percepción, ya que los cables están expuestos y cualquier niño o persona puede tropezar y caerse además de que si llueve y se inunda el jardín que atraviesa podría ocurrir un corto.
De la misma manera, el parque que fue rehabilitado actualmente está en un pésimo estado y lo mismo ocurre con buena parte de la pared perimetral que muestra grietas, pero creo que la principal acción que se debe tomar es la de crear conciencia en todos y cada uno de los vecinos, ya que si no tenemos sentido de potencia, colaboración y amor por lo nuestro, poco a poco las cosas se van deteriorando.
No puedo retirarme sin antes animarles a procurar preservar y cuidar lo nuestro y no solo a esperar que alguien más haga, si todos ponemos un grano de arena es más fácil, así me despido hasta una próxima publicación.
