En algún momento todos hemos necesitado que alguien nos corrija algún texto que estaos redactado, sobre todo si se trata de algo importante como por ejemplo lo fue para mí el informe de pasantías para cumplir uno de los requisitos para graduarme de Técnico Superior Universitario (TSU) o el Trabajo Especial de Grado para obtener el título de Abogada, en el segundo caso una tía se encargó de corregir mi trabajo de grado , también existen en los programas de office correctores para ayudarnos a evitar esos posibles errores que podamos cometer ya sea por un problema visual, dislexia, no tener buna ortografía; ahora aunque no lo crean existe una efemérides para celebrar al Corrector de textos y se celebra los 27 de octubre.

Ahora bien, hablemos del origen de los correctores de texto, antes de existir las computadoras, ya existían un grupo de personas que se dedicaban a corregir textos a ellos es a quienes en realidad se le debe la creación de esta celebración y es a quienes realmente va dirigida y por quienes se crearon las versiones digitales de correctores de texto. Por otro lado, en que se diferencia un corrector de texto humano al de una computadora o programa, es sencillo el humano que se dedica a ser un corrector de textos es un conocedor del lenguaje y se preocupa por buscar errores de todo tipo no solo ortográficos también gramaticales, me imagino que dirán “aja pero cuando uso el office también me corrige el texto que estoy redactando y esto es cierto, pero estos programas están sujetos a márgenes de error, lo que no garantiza sean 100 % confiables.

La función principal de un corrector de textos es identificar los errores gramaticales en documentos, textos o escritos y corregirlos.
Sin embargo, también debe velar por que el texto no tenga faltas ortográficas y que cumpla con las reglas de sintaxis y semántica.
