Cruise without caffeine

Anxiety had taken over me, I had never traveled by boat and I had mixed feelings about it, fear, joy, curiosity, lots of adrenaline, in short there was a little bit of everything in me, the pictures of the cruise were beautiful, it offered the best 5 star service, plus the final destination was that beautiful island paradise.

The cruise ship was really beautiful, the pictures did not do it justice, they only reflected a part of its beauty, it looked like I was in a 5 star hotel in the middle of the sea, my cabin was beautiful, it looked like it came out of a decoration magazine, everything seemed to be a product of my imagination, the pool was huge, the various restaurants were equally beautiful, there was also a casino, and even a gym.

So we set sail that morning, that day was a dreamed wonder, everything was perfect, the trip would last three days, until our destination, but who could imagine what we would live those last two days?

I woke up happy to enjoy a wonderful buffet breakfast, so I could try everything and without limitations, filling me with energy for the rest of the day and have a great time in the pool or enjoying some other entertaining activity, but early in the morning the captain of the cruise made an announcement that would change the rest of the trip, the coffee was over and for the next two days there would be no availability, the reason an involuntary material error, it had been left in port, so the next two days no one could enjoy the taste of coffee.

When I heard that I was astonished and it was heard that more than one passenger pronounced out loud some swear word, but that was just the tip of the Iceberg, the next day after breakfast and although we ate delicious dishes, we all felt the lack of that special something, was what everyone commented along the ship and logically was the coffee, we all left with long faces from there, although it was noticeable that everyone was trying their best to enjoy their trip and forget that there was no coffee.

By mid-morning I could no longer stand the headache and sunbathing in the pool made it worse, so I retired and noticed during my way to my cabin that many of the passengers were making gestures touching their heads as one usually does when you have a severe headache, I tried to sleep a little I managed to do it, but for a short time and as the hours passed the headache was getting worse, I decided to take a walk on deck and admire the ocean to relax.

While I was walking to the deck area, I heard more than one passenger upset about the coffee, some of them were swearing, as they could not cope with the headache, others just took deep breaths to make the situation more bearable.

The crisis exploded completely at lunch time, as the passengers were extremely upset about the lack of caffeine and as there is always someone who cannot control his impulses, one of the passengers threw one of the waiters to the floor with everything he had in his hands and as if that was not enough he unloaded all his anger against the poor man as if he was to blame for the lack of coffee.

That night was very quiet and the next day breakfast was the same and people were really desperate to get to the destination that afternoon and have a coffee in the first place they found, it was shocking to see how many of the passengers are already with their goals almost at the entrance of disembarkation of the cruise, long before arriving to port, because they could not stand the headaches and obviously not being able to drink coffee.

Upon arriving to port, while each passenger was disembarking, they let everyone they met know that they would never use their services again and that anyone they could let know that they would never travel with them, because on a cruise ship you can miss anything but coffee.

That would ruin anyone's trip, of course it would be worse than the Titanic or the Poseidon.

Eso le arruina el viaje a cualquiera, claro que sería peor que el Titanic o el Poseidón

The boat company or agencies did a grave mistake, little did they know that coffee is life.

Staying on board without coffee definitely ruined the excitement during the trip and it could have fictionally become one of your best boats travels.

I think we've all had at least the curiosity to travel on a cruise, but to run out of coffee would really be the last straw, thanks for stopping by to read and comment.

Hello my dear friend what a shame with you, I mistakenly thought I had answered you and today I am realizing that I had not, sorry for the delay.

The truth is that the poor waiters often pay the price for someone else.
