I am happy to finally be here and make my presentation and first publication in this community, since I subscribed I did not know how to start and although its creator gives us ideas every week, I thought the most convenient is to introduce myself and express what minimalism is for me as I see it, I apply it and what it represents in my life.

First things first, for those who do not know me my name is Cristina de los Ángeles Turmero Nuitter, I am Venezuelan, mother of an only son, who makes me live many wonderful experiences, I have seven cats that drive me crazy and sometimes make me laugh with their antics and witticisms, I am a wife, lawyer, housewife and content creator.

Now, I think that without knowing about this trend as such, minimalism has always been present in me, in very few cases I like overloaded things, I tend to the simple and simple without many ornaments, both for dress, as in accessories and I have noticed that I tend to be the same at home, as I said there are exceptions.

If we search on the internet what the minimalist trend refers to we find the following:

Minimalism is an artistic trend that uses only minimal and basic elements. By extension, in everyday language, minimalism is associated with everything that has been reduced to the essentials and does not present any excess or accessory elements.

When reading these lines I identified myself, because as I mentioned in many aspects of my daily life I have been and I am or I apply minimalism, for example in what accessories I know, although I have many, but I do not like to overload myself, I feel that I stop being me, it is not my style or my essence, I can see it great in other women, I even tried to imitate some things, but when I look at myself in the mirror I feel that I stop being me, my style is simple, a pair of sober earrings, a chain or choker, if anything a bracelet and a ring, I can use rings or long earrings, but as I said, that I feel that they go with my style, my mood and my attitude, my essence.

On the other hand, to dress is the same, I like and enjoy the simple. The classic, for the office I got to acquire several sweater sweater jersey, which I placed on some unicolor turtleneck garment, usually white or black, a good pair of pants or jeans and heels or sneakers, this because it was very cold and was an elegant option that being of various colors, red, turquoise, black, I also acquired pashminas to combine, because it was really cold in that office and it was necessary to keep warm as well as in the airport and the plane when traveling so I didn't have to carry so many things in my luggage or purse.

Likewise, as for home decor I like to combine colors on the walls, that is, I do not like unicolor environments, I like to decorate the shelves and tables but not have a thousand ornaments that I hate, first gives a lot of homework to clean and secondly it seems a lack of sobriety, currently the walls my room was without a single picture or shelf, but I hope that will change soon, in what I must confess I have been exaggerated, according to some is like my Christmas tree, with the last one I acquired to be of 1. 80 m, I was forced to buy more ornaments and lights, plus I always dreamed of having a tree full of ornaments, so it took years, but I managed to fill it, according to some it is saturated, but I like it to look full of flowers and lights, I want to buy some more traditional color flowers like red and gold, but they are very expensive so I could be acquiring until I have for a new decoration, more classic.

Finishing, I know that minimalism can be present in many other aspects of life, but sometimes it is hard for us to see them, but it is a matter of detailing and learning, so it's great that @millycf1976, always propose us some topics to have them develop, so I say goodbye hoping this is the first of several publications in this beautiful community, where we can definitely notice that many times less is more.
