The Tomorrow War (ENG/SPA)

This movie is not much different from others in terms of theme as it is about a journey from future to past and vice versa, but I liked it because it is not the typical movie that presents themes like a foolproof super technology.

Now, what is the focus of the plot? Well, in the Christmas of 2021 the world is attentive to a soccer game and in the middle of that game appear in the middle of the field, first a great sound that makes interference and then as a cloud or hole from which some troops come out, it turns out that the troops come from the future, year 2051, and have come to ask for help because humanity is losing the war against aliens, these aliens have managed to cause so many casualties worldwide that the extinction of humanity is imminent so the option is to ask for troops to prevent this from happening.

So we see how in theory humanity unites and first send troops, but almost no one manages to return from these services that curiously only last 7 days, then as expected and before such a strong conflict they send civilians and among the civilians is selected the protagonist Dan Forester (Chris Pratt), who is a biology professor, who failed to get the job of his dreams, he has a wife and a daughter.

So after a while, as expected Dan is recruited by being eligible, I won't tell you what makes him eligible, it's the least you can imagine, but you'll have to see the movie if you want to know.

In the same way, as for what Dan finds when he goes to the future is not a predator type alien armed to the teeth, I think we could compare it more with alien the eighth passenger, for its savagery, way of reproducing and its organization, but you have to see how it looks and what it does, because from what is seen in the scenes they are able to coordinate attacks and protect their weak points, they are susceptible to fire, but by reproducing in excess they have invaded almost the entire planet.

On the other hand, our protagonist has an advantage over the rest of his group, he is a war veteran, a former Green Beret, veteran of Iraq and knows how to handle himself, in these circumstances, he manages to get out miraculously alive with a few others only to find the surprise of who has sent him to recruit is his daughter, I will not tell you anything else, of the plot only that it is very entertaining and that it is one of the movies that put you to trot sitting down because there is always action in it.

The cast we can mention: Yvonne Strahovski (Muri Forester) Ryan Kiera Armstrong (Muri Forester, young) J. K. Simmons (James Forester), Betty Gilpin (Emmy Forester) Sam Richardson (Charlie Theo Von), Jasmine Mathews (Lieutenant Hart), Keith Powers (Major Greenwood), Mary Lynn Rajskub (Norah), Edwin Hodge (Dorian), Seychelle Gabriel (Sergeant Diaz), Alan Trong (Lieutenant Tran), Chibuikem Uche (Lieutenant Ikemba), Alexis Louder (Diablo) and Mike Mitchell (Robert Cowan).

Certainly, it is not a movie with great effects, it has mistakes and its story does not make much sense, if we talk about looking for logic to some things, but it entertains and if it presents situations that are not credible in real circumstances, I like that it does not show a future of floating cars or things like that, the earth although destroyed, looks very similar to the present and presents us with scientists who manage to build the jump bridge recognize that they have limitations and that they are wrong, besides seeing how the characters face normal family situations in almost all of them.

In conclusion, if you like action, time travel, science fiction and aliens this movie is for you, as they are given is two moments times and support at times does not come from NASA scientists or super gifted, comes from often simple minds and acquaintances, so go ahead and look for it, you will spend two hours and a little more entertaining.
