Manchita es una viejita, desconocemos su edad exacta, pero si sabemos que tiene un carácter único y hace cada cosa que a veces queremos que se vaya por donde vino, pero la amamos tal cual es, ya como les comenté en su presentación es una gatita de la tercera edad y por ello ha cambiado sus hábitos, vengo a contarles un poquito de sus ultimas andanzas y de los dolores de cabeza que nos ha dado esta gordita manchada.

Macha ya es de la tercera edad felina, sabíamos que no era una bebe, pero no sabíamos que tenía tan avanzada edad, hasta el momento en el que al notar que estaba caminando extraño la lleve al veterinario se le diagnostico artrosis, lo que nos dio una idea de acuerdo al examen físico, placas y su comportamiento de que en ese momento tenía aproximadamente 15 o 16 años y eso fue hace dos años entonces actualmente debe tener 17 más o menos, ella no luce vieja, de hecho es una gata muy linda, pero con un carácter terrible.

Como ya mencioné al final del párrafo anterior, Manchita tiene su carácter, nunca ha sido muy cariñosa, de hecho nos araño y mordió en repetidas oportunidades por invadir su privacidad, pero aprendimos a amarla así, principalmente por como ella se desvive por mi madre, ella la ama, es muy seguro que donde este mi mama, este ella, no se le separa a menos que no quede de otra y hasta la cela, no le gusta que nos sentemos a su lado se pone celosa, a mí me ha mordido, arañado y hasta empujado por ello.

Hace unos meses cuando diagnosticaron a mi abuela con demencia senil (enfermedad en también pueden padecer los gatos) y ver sus cambios, me hizo recordar algunos de los comportamientos que ha tenido Mancha, así que he aprendido a comprender un poco más a Manchita que también esta viejita, ella todo el tiempo tiene frio y busca constantemente el calor de otros cuerpos o cobijas para minimizar el dolor que le produce la artrosis, por eso a veces le colocamos ese suetercito que ven en la foto, para que se sienta más abrigada, sobre todo en las noches de frio, pero por otro lado esta orinándose en todos lados, lo que comenzó como orinarse solo en el piso de la ducha, se ha trasladado a otros lugares de la casa muchas veces poco accesibles

Sobre este último compartimiento, mi madre paso unos días durmiendo con mi abuela y no entro a su habitación unos días y de repente percibimos un olor terrible, resulta que Mancha hizo un nido sobre un libro y una sábana que se cayó y ella arrastro debajo de la cama y había hecho pipi y del dos también, el olor era espantoso, limpiar eso fue una odisea para mi madre y obviamente tanto el libro como la sabana fueron tener a la basura, el olor era insoportable, en consecuencia, para evitar tentaciones ahora ese cuarto se mantiene con la puerta cerrada.

Ahora bien, la situación actual es que tengo dos días encontrando un pozo de orine de gato en mi cuarto muy cerca de las cholas de mi esposo (eso es personal) jajaja y la he visto (Manchita) saliendo de mi cuarto lo que la hace la principal sospechosa de los eventos, así que la estoy pillando para evitar y más al tener 3 días sin el vital líquido (agua).

En resumen, Manchita es una viejita mañosa y tremenda, pero no por ello menos querida, por el contrario, ahora es más comprendida ya que es una ancianita gruñona que ahora más que nunca necesita amor y comprensión obviamente bajo supervisión.

Manchita is an old lady, we don't know her exact age, but we do know that she has a unique character and does every thing that sometimes we want her to go back to where she came from, but we love her just the way she is, as I told you in her presentation she is a kitten of the third age and for that reason she has changed her habits, I come to tell you a little bit of her last adventures and the headaches that this chubby spotted cat has given us.

Macha is already a senior feline, we knew she wasn't a baby, but we didn't know she was so old, until the moment we noticed she was walking strange, I took her to the vet and she was diagnosed with arthrosis, which gave us an idea according to the physical exam, plaques and her behavior that at that moment she was about 15 or 16 years old and that was two years ago, so now she must be 17 or so, she doesn't look old, in fact she is a very cute cat, but with a terrible character.

As I mentioned at the end of the previous paragraph, Manchita has a temper, she has never been very affectionate, in fact she scratched and bit us repeatedly for invading her privacy, but we learned to love her that way, mainly because of how she goes out of her way for my mother, she loves her, she is very sure that where my mother is, she is there, she will not be separated from her unless there is no other way and even she is jealous, she does not like us sitting next to her, she gets jealous, she has bitten me, scratched me and even pushed me because of it.

A few months ago when my grandmother was diagnosed with senile dementia (a disease that cats can also suffer from) and seeing her changes, made me remember some of the behaviors that Mancha has had, so I have learned to understand Manchita a little more, she is also old, she is cold all the time and constantly seeks the warmth of other bodies or blankets to minimize the pain caused by osteoarthritis, that's why sometimes we put that little sweater you see in the picture, so she feels warmer, especially on cold nights, but on the other hand she is peeing everywhere, what started as peeing only on the floor of the shower, has moved to other places in the house often inaccessible.

About this last compartment, my mother spent a few days sleeping with my grandmother and did not enter her room a few days and suddenly we perceived a terrible smell, it turns out that Mancha made a nest on a book and a sheet that fell and she dragged under the bed and had made pee and of the two also, the smell was awful, cleaning that was an odyssey for my mother and obviously both the book and the sheet were to have to the trash, the smell was unbearable, consequently, to avoid temptations now that room is kept with the door closed.

Now, the current situation is that I have two days finding a cat pee pit in my room very close to my husband's cholas (that's personal) hahaha and I have seen her (Manchita) coming out of my room which makes her the main suspect of the events, so I am catching her to avoid and more to have 3 days without the vital liquid (water).

In summary, Manchita is a crafty and tremendous old lady, but not for that reason less loved, on the contrary, she is now more understood as she is a grumpy old lady who now more than ever needs love and understanding obviously under supervision.
