The COMedy Rumble: Tomé el bus equivocado [ESP-ENG]

Esta es la primera vez que participo en este evento de The COMedy Rumble, gracias a la invitación que me hizo @eduardmartinez. Y me pareció una buena ocasión para contarles una historia que me sucedió hace un tiempo; y todo (por culpa) debido al enamoramiento.
Primero, ciertamente estar enamorado es una etapa muy bonita, hasta cometer las más grandes hazañas por amor. Sin embargo, en esta etapa también estamos más propensos a hacer el ridículo. Y aunque nadie habla de esa parte (yo seré valiente y lo haré), es divertido contar las situaciones embarazosas por la cuales pasamos al estar flechados por cupido.
Segundo, debo decirles que normalmente soy bastante despistada; y como estaba enamorada, provocó que fuese doblemente despistada.

This is the first time that I am participating in The COMedy Rumble event, thanks to the invitation that @eduardmartinez made me. And it seemed like a good opportunity to tell you a story that happened to me some time ago; and all because of falling in love.
First, being in love is certainly a very beautiful stage, even committing the greatest deeds for love. However, at this stage we are also more prone to making fools of ourselves. And although no one talks about that part (I'll be brave and do it), it's fun to tell the embarrassing situations we went through when cupid struck us.
Second, I have to tell you that I'm usually pretty clueless; and since I was in love, it caused me to be doubly clueless.
La historia comienza cuando sonó la campana de salida del colegio. Tomé mis cosas y salí corriendo a la parada de autobuses, donde compré algunos snacks allí mismo. Mientras esperaba que llegara mi ruta, comencé a imaginar cómo reaccionaría mi enamorado cuando le entregara aquel pequeño detalle; y cuando estaba inmersa en mis pensamientos, escuché el sonido de un autobús llegando a la parada. No me fijé mucho en su cartel indicativo de la ruta, solo presté atención a su color verde (pues, al destino que me dirigía, el cartel era de color verde).
Me senté cerca de la ventana e iba distraída apreciando el detalle que estaba en mis manos; y además, seguía metida en mis pensamientos. Luego de unos 20 minutos de viaje decidí mirar por la ventana, y lo que vi me sorprendió: pasé por una calle que NUNCA HABÍA VISTO. Inmediatamente mi cabeza comenzó a hacer preguntas: “¿Qué calle es esa Zuleima? ¿Y esa casa de dónde salió? ¿En qué momento plantaron ese árbol?”.
The story begins when the school dismissal bell rang. I grabbed my things and ran to the bus stop, where I bought some snacks on the spot. While I was waiting for my route to arrive, I began to imagine how my crush would react when I gave him that little detail; and when I was deep in thought, I heard the sound of a bus pulling up to the stop. I did not pay much attention to its indicative sign of the route, I only paid attention to its green color (because, to the destination that I was heading, the sign was green).
I sat near the window and I was distracted appreciating the detail that was in my hands; And besides, I was still in my thoughts. After about 20 minutes of travel I decided to look out the window, and what I saw surprised me: I passed through a street that I HAD NEVER SEEN. Immediately my head began to ask questions: “What street is that Zuleima? And where did that house come from? When did they plant that tree?"
Me giré tímidamente y le pregunté a la señora que iba a mi lado: “Disculpe, ¿en qué lugar estamos?”, a lo cual ella me respondió con el nombre de una calle que no había escuchado antes. En ese momento los nervios se apoderaron de mí, al darme cuenta que HABÍA TOMADO EL BUS EQUIVOCADO.
El desespero me ganó y no pensé pedir la parada de manera educada, sino que di un grito que retumbó en todo el autobús: “¡SEÑOOOOOR, DÉJEME EN LA PARADA, QUE TOMÉ EL AUTOBÚS EQUIVOCADO!”. Se podrán imaginar la cantidad de risas de los demás pasajeros, pues fui el hazmerreír de todo el medio de transporte.
I timidly turned around and asked the lady next to me: “Excuse me, where are we?”, to which she replied with the name of a street that I hadn't heard before. At that moment the nerves took over me, realizing that I HAD TAKEN THE WRONG BUS.
Desperation overcame me and I didn't think to ask for the stop in a polite way, but instead shouted that echoed throughout the bus: "SIIIIIR, LEAVE ME AT THE BUS STOP, I TAKE THE WRONG BUS!". You can imagine the amount of laughter from the other passengers, because I was the laughingstock of the entire means of transport.
Cuando el autobús se detuvo, me bajé tapándome la cara por la vergüenza y comencé a caminar hacia la otra parada para regresarme, mientras buscaba entre mis cosas el dinero del pasaje. Pero como si eso no fuera poco, no encontré el dinero. Inmediatamente mi cerebro me recordó que con el desespero no pedí el cambio del pasaje en el autobús anterior; así que finalmente no tuve más remedio que volver a mi casa caminado, sin haber visto a mi enamorado y con el regalo en mis manos.
When the bus stopped, I got off, covering my face out of embarrassment, and I began to walk towards the other bus stop to return, while I searched among my things for the money for the ticket. But as if that weren't enough, I didn't find the money. Immediately my brain reminded me that in desperation I didn't ask the rest of the ticket on the previous bus; so finally I had no choice but to walk home, without having seen my crush and with the gift in my hands.
Pero no se preocupen, llegué bien a mi casa; y lo que hice fue reírme de mí misma por la situación que pasé. Y para reconfortarme, miré una película comiéndome los snacks que había comprado para él.

But don't worry, I got home safely; and what I did was laugh at myself for the situation I went through. And to comfort myself, I watched a movie while eating the snacks I had bought for him.

It deserves laughing to the brim. Hehehehe... You would have summoned courage to proceed further. You don't know if you were on the right bus or what you would have done is to give him a call to know if your location was different from what he described to you.
