Fish 🐠 or meat 🍖? Which do you prefer and why? This is a question that I do love hear from you.

This special week I want to discuss something that have been given me concern. Is going to be inform of question maybe one of two persons may have an idea or the answer to my question.

The question is - why are we asked not to eat red meat? While for me I don't have much insight to why we are not supposed to eat much red meat.

I decided to go for fish this lovely Friday instead of red meat.
You know, it all started from when we were growing up, there was no money to buy 🍖 meat, especially if you grow up in a family that is eating from hand to mouth. So,the consolation for us then was "don't worry, when you grow up and make money, you will eat meat the way you want".

So growing up, we have always looked up to the day that we will have money, buy meat and eat as we wish. But I have both good news and bad news. The good news is that we are all grown up now and even have our own kids. The bad news is that, now that we are grown up, we are told not to eat especially red meat, for some reasons not too clear to me.

So my question is, did our parents lie to us? I don't know what the answer will be.
So, because we are asked not to eat red meat, I have decided to go for fish today. And they actually lovely. Though is even more expensive to compare to meat 🍖.

These are dried ones and also fried ones. This is another way of preserving the fish.

Well, this is #MarketFriday.

Though is even more expensive to compare to meat

So, if it is more expensive, how much is the meat? How much is the fish? We have nothing to compare it to otherwise.

Research has shown that regularly eating red meat and processed meat can raise the risk of type 2 diabetes, coronary heart disease, stroke, and certain cancers, especially colorectal cancer. Fish is rich in calcium and phosphorus and a great source of minerals, such as iron, zinc, iodine, magnesium, and potassium. It is recommended that a person should eat fish at least twice a week.(or more)

Personally, I prefer fish and seafood, although I will eat red meat from time to time. Less now than I used to. In my opinion, only, I see no reason to eat beef on occasion and fish most of the time. I prefer a little balance rather than all or nothing at all unless you are vegetarian or vegan. That is a horse of a diffeent color.

Most of the comments are done on Fridays and Saturdays by people, so if you want others to participate in it, you need to try to post earlier. Posting on late Sunday will generally get a lower response. As a reminder, please do not use blurry pictures. Thank you for participating!

Thank you so much for this unique opportunity.
For the cost of fish and meat.
A kilo of meat is #3000, while a kilo of fish is #4000.

And for the post that came late, sorry about that. My Friday post do come early on Fridays, but this weekend I was so busy that it came.
I will adjust next time

Thank you.

That fish looks lovely! I'm sure it was very tasty.

Why do they tell us not to eat red meat? Who knows. It's true that red meat can cause heart disease and other problems if you eat it every day, constantly, for many years. (And yes, there are people who did that, which I imagine must be utterly boring.) But then there are other factors, such as concentrated sugar, chemicals in processed food, as well as smoking, stress, lack of physical activity, and a whole lot of other things we simply don't know (yet). So I say, go ahead and enjoy the red meat, and also your fish, and any other delicious things you can find at the market!
