Cleansing duo | Duo limpiador

Any skin care routine starts with the same step, whether it's a routine of 10 or one of only 3, cleansing always comes first, whether we use a makeup remover, micellar water or a cleansing "soap", what we can never miss is cleansing our face. This is one of the most important steps in my routine, because my skin is oily, and I also have seborrheic dermatitis, so I have to keep my face perfectly clean to avoid breakouts. I will be able to skip any step but this one (sunscreen either, but that's another topic).

Having already a year with dermatitis completely under control, I decided it's time to experiment in terms of cleansers, previously I only used the ones recommended by the dermatologist, but I wanted to look for equally gentle options, but a little more economical (dermatological cleansers are a little more expensive than normal ones), so I finally decided to try the Simple brand cleansers of which I had previously tried a couple of moisturizers.

Simple is a British brand that is known for making products for sensitive skin at affordable prices, in addition to this they are free of animal cruelty, dyes, perfumes, are non-comedogenic and environmentally friendly. The products I am testing and want to share with you are the micellar water and a gel cleanser.

Micellar Water

Honestly, this is my first time trying one, before my routine only included a cleanser and that's it, but as I switched to other products I wanted to add it to ensure that the cleansing is sufficient as I am applying sunscreen more frequently, so I have started double cleansing during the evenings, first I remove everything with the micellar water and then proceed to wash with the gel cleanser.

The first thing I noticed when I started using it was that it does not have any type of perfume or colorants, it is totally transparent, it leaves a very pleasant fresh sensation. There were days when I even used it to clean my face in the morning instead of the cleansing gel, and it alone kept my face perfectly clean throughout the day. It should be noted that I don't wear makeup, so the only thing I need the micellar water for is to help the cleanser get rid of all the sunscreen, it's not an oil based cleanser, so it won't work for you in case you want to remove waterproof eye makeup.

Its ingredients include vitamin B3 (niacinamide) which helps keep skin hydrated, has antioxidant, sebum-regulating and anti-inflammatory properties, which helps control acne and redness. In addition, it also has vitamin C which provides luminosity to the skin and is also an antioxidant.

Refreshing facial gel

The first thing I will say about this product is that it is one of the gentlest cleansers I have tried, it really feels like we are not putting any kind of cleanser or anything, just like the micellar water, it also has no dyes or perfume. It is syndet, that is, it does not have strong cleansing agents (detergents) that can irritate the skin, perhaps this may sound like it does not clean very well, but I can tell you that even without micellar water it leaves the skin quite clean, plus it controls the production of oil very well, which is one of the things that matter most to me in a cleanser.

Being a syndet cleanser, it is very gentle on the skin, you do not feel any burning in the eyes if by accident we drop a little, when removed it leaves a fairly pleasant feeling of cleanliness without leaving the skin tight. It contains vitamin B5 (panthenol) which has anti-inflammatory properties, reduces irritation and redness and helps control acne. It also contains vitamin E, which we already know is an antioxidant, so it helps prevent premature aging.

I have found both products to be really great, an excellent addition to my skincare routine, my pores feel much cleaner, which has reduced their size considerably, I don't feel an overly clean sensation, but neither does my skin feel dirty, the products are perfectly balanced for a totally adequate cleansing of the skin.

During the time I've been using them, I haven't had any acne or dermatitis breakouts, I imagine because of how gentle both products are. The best of all is that neither costs more than $6, which makes them extremely affordable, especially the cleansing gel, because of its consistency that yields a lot, I use the amount the size of a pea and it is perfectly distributed all over the face and neck.

Without a doubt, both are products that I highly recommend, in fact, I liked them so much that I have decided to keep trying more products from this brand, I am currently about to buy a repairing moisturizing gel and a toner, so soon I will bring you more opinions about this brand so gentle with the skin and accessible.

Duo limpiador

Cualquier rutina de cuidado de la piel comienza con el mismo paso, sea una rutina de 10 o una de solamente 3, la limpieza siempre va primero, bien sea que utilicemos un desmaquillante, agua micelar o un “jabón” limpiador, lo que nunca nos puede faltar es limpiar nuestra cara. Este es uno de los pasos más importantes de mi rutina, porque mi piel es grasa y además tengo dermatitis seborreica, así que debo mantener la cara perfectamente limpia para evitar brotes. Podré saltarme cualquier paso menos este (el protector solar tampoco, pero ese es otro tema).

Teniendo ya un año con la dermatitis completamente controlada, decidí que es momento de experimentar en cuestión de limpiadores, anteriormente solo usaba los que me había recomendado la dermatóloga, pero he querido buscar opciones igual de gentiles, pero un poco más económicas (los limpiadores dermatológicos son un poco más costosos que los normales), así que finalmente me decidí a probar los limpiadores de la marca Simple de la cual ya había probado anteriormente un par de cremas hidratantes.

Simple es una marca británica que se caracteriza por fabricar productos para pieles sensibles a precios accesibles, además de esto están libres de crueldad animal, colorantes, perfumes, son no comedogénicos y amigables con el medio ambiente. Los productos que estoy probando y que quiero compartir con ustedes son el agua micelar y un limpiador en gel.

Agua Micelar

Honestamente, esta es la primera vez que pruebo una, antes mi rutina solamente incluía un limpiador y ya, pero al cambiar por otros productos quise agregarla para garantizar que la limpieza sea suficiente, ya que estoy aplicando el protector solar con mayor frecuencia, así que he comenzado a hacer doble limpieza durante las noches, primero remuevo todo con el agua micelar y luego procedo a lavar con el gel limpiador.

Lo primero que noté al comenzar a usarla fue que efectivamente no tiene ningún tipo de perfume, ni colorantes, es totalmente trasparente, deja una sensación de frescura muy agradable. Al terminar de aplicarla la piel se siente bastante limpia, pero sin sensación tirante, hubo días en los que incluso la usé para limpiar mi rostro por la mañana en lugar del gel limpiador y ella por si sola mantuvo mi cara perfectamente limpia durante todo el día. Cabe destacar que yo no uso maquillaje, así que para lo único que necesito el agua micelar es para ayudar al limpiador a deshacerse de todo el protector solar, no es un limpiador con base de aceite, así que no les servirá en caso de que quieran remover maquillaje de ojos a prueba de agua.

Dentro de sus ingredientes incluye vitamina B3 (niacinamida) que ayuda a mantener la piel hidratada, tiene propiedades antioxidantes, seborreguladoras y antiinflamatorias, lo cual ayuda a controlar el acné y los enrojecimientos. Además, también tiene vitamina C que brinda luminosidad a la piel y también es antioxidante.

Gel facial refrescante

Lo primero que voy a decir de este producto es que es uno de los limpiadores más gentiles que he probado, de verdad parece como si no nos estuviéramos poniendo ningún tipo de limpiador ni nada, al igual que el agua micelar, tampoco tiene colorantes, ni perfume. Es syndet, es decir, no tiene agentes limpiadores fuertes (detergentes) que puedan irritar la piel, quizás esto les pueda sonar a que no limpia muy bien, pero les puedo decir que aun sin el agua micelar deja la piel bastante limpia, además de que controla muy bien la producción de grasa, que es una de las cosas que más me importan en un limpiador.

Al ser un limpiador syndet, es muy gentil con la piel, no se siente ningún tipo de ardor en los ojos si por accidente nos cae un poco, al retirarlo deja una sensación de limpieza bastante agradable sin llegar a dejar la piel tirante. Contiene vitamina B5 (pantenol) que tiene propiedades antiinflamatorias, reduce la irritación y enrojecimientos, además de ayudar a controlar el acné. También contiene vitamina E, de la cual ya sabemos que es antioxidante, por lo cual ayuda a prevenir el envejecimiento prematuro.

Ambos productos me han parecido verdaderamente estupendos, una excelente incorporación a mi rutina de skincare, siento los poros mucho más limpios, lo cual ha reducido considerablemente su tamaño, no siento una sensación excesiva de limpieza, pero tampoco siento la piel sucia, están perfectamente balanceados los productos para una limpieza totalmente adecuada de la piel.

Durante el tiempo que llevo usándolos, no he tenido brotes de acné ni de dermatitis, me imagino que por lo gentiles que son ambos productos. Lo mejor de todo es que ninguno cuesta más de 6 dólares, lo cual lo hace excesivamente accesibles, sobre todo el gel limpiador, ya que además por su consistencia que rinde muchísimo, yo uso la cantidad del tamaño de un guisante y se distribuye perfectamente por todo el rostro y el cuello.

Sin duda, ambos son productos que recomiendo ampliamente, de hecho, me han gustado tanto que me he propuesto seguir probando más productos de esta marca, actualmente estoy por comprar un gel hidratante reparador y un tónico, así que pronto les traeré más opiniones sobre esta marca tan gentil con la piel y accesible.
