Hola, amigos de #geekzone. Hoy quiero compartirles el gameplay de un nuevo juego que acabo de comenzar y que, con lo poco que he probado, me está encantando, se llama TMNT Shredder’s Revenge, es un Beat em up y está disponible para varias plataformas, yo lo estoy jugando en Android, pero también lo pueden encontrar en todas las consolas (Switch, Xbox y PS), para iOS y para PC (Linux y Windows). En Android y iOS es un juego gratuito y se supone que es exclusivo para suscriptores de Netflix, la verdad desconozco si para los no usuarios tiene un costo o algo así, déjenmelo saber en comentarios.

Desde el momento en el que empieza el juego podemos notar que está inspirado en la serie de los ochenta y en los juegos desarrollados por Konami, así que si son de mi generación les traerá mucha, pero mucha nostalgia, escuchar el tema de las TMNT al inicio. Hay dos opciones para comenzar a jugar, está el modo arcade y el de historia, que fue con el que yo comencé.

Una vez elegido el modo de juego debemos seleccionar la dificultad (escogí la normal, aunque creo que debí haberme ido por el modo manco, pero bueno) y el personaje con el que vamos a jugar (por supuesto que elegí a Leonardo, ¿A quién más?). De ahí pasamos a un “breve” tutorial de cómo se pelea (que, por supuesto, yo ignoré, no lo ignoren, no se los recomiendo), luego del cual comienza la acción con el primer nivel.

El primer nivel es relativamente sencillo, nos enfrentamos con matones bastante promedio, pero eso nos sirve para ir agarrándole un poco la onda a los controles. Como en los otros juegos de las Tortugas, podemos encontrar cajas de pizza que nos servirán para recuperar vida y hay algunas otras que nos dan un efecto especial, en este nivel me salió una que nos hace lanzar muchos golpes. Para finalizar nos encontramos como jefe a Bebop, el cual me hizo perder una vida, aunque para mis estándares eso no está demasiado mal.

Una vez completado el primer nivel nos aparece por fin el mapa de la ciudad de Nueva York y se nos abre el camino hacia el siguiente nivel, el cual se me complicó un poco más que el primero, ya que los enemigos son más hábiles y yo soy bastante mala. En este nivel descubrí un potenciador que hace que podamos usar nuestro poder especial sin necesidad de que cargue, aun así, creo que perdí dos vidas, una en el camino y una contra Rocksteady, el jefe del final del nivel.

Milagrosamente, pude superar el nivel dos y pensé en quedarme ahí, pero como me estaba gustando tanto el juego decidí aventurarme en el tercer nivel, en el cual se me acabaría la racha. A pesar de no superarlo, fue el nivel más divertido de los tres que jugué, vamos montados en una patineta y debemos esquivar obstáculos, objetos que caen, carros y demás, mientras combatimos con los villanos, los cuales me metieron tremenda paliza, al grado de llegar con los jefes finales (Bebop y Rocksteady juntos) con solo una de las tres que nos dan al inicio de cada nivel.

Demás está decir que los jefes me hicieron papilla en menos de lo que canta un gallo, así que ahí terminó mi aventura y también el gameplay. Fue una experiencia buenísima y como les comento en el video es un juego genial, que estarán viendo por aquí porque me encantó y quiero seguir compartiéndolo con ustedes, además de que tiene un modo multijugador en el cual podemos completar niveles acompañados de amigos, así que si a alguno le interesa estaría increíble poder jugar con otros miembros de la comunidad.

Embarking on a new adventure | TMNT: Shredder's Revenge

Today I want to share with you the gameplay of a new game I just started and that, with the little I've tried, I'm loving it, it's called TMNT Shredder's Revenge, it's a Beat em up and it's available for several platforms, I'm playing it on Android, but you can also find it on all consoles (Switch, Xbox and PS), for iOS and for PC (Linux and Windows). On Android and iOS it's a free game and it's supposed to be exclusive for Netflix subscribers, I really don't know if for non-users it has a cost or something, let me know in comments.

From the moment the game starts we can notice that it is inspired by the eighties series and the games developed by Konami, so if you are of my generation it will bring you much, much nostalgia to hear the TMNT theme at the beginning. There are two options to start playing, there is the arcade mode and the story mode, which was the one I started with.

Once the game mode is chosen we must select the difficulty (I chose normal, although I think I should have gone for the one-armed mode, but ok) and the character we are going to play with (of course I chose Leonardo, who else?). From there we go to a "brief" tutorial on how to fight (which, of course, I ignored, don't ignore it, I don't recommend it), after which the action begins with the first level.

The first level is relatively simple, we face fairly average thugs, but that serves to get the hang of the controls. As in the other Turtles games, we can find pizza boxes that will help us to recover life and there are some others that give us a special effect, in this level I got one that makes us throw many blows. To finish we find Bebop as a boss, which made me lose a life, although for my standards that's not too bad.

Once we completed the first level we finally see the map of New York City and opens the way to the next level, which was a little more complicated than the first, as the enemies are more skilled and I'm pretty bad. In this level I discovered a power-up that makes us able to use our special power without needing it to charge, even so, I think I lost two lives, one on the way and one against Rocksteady, the boss at the end of the level.

Miraculously, I was able to beat level two and I thought about staying there, but since I was liking the game so much I decided to venture into the third level, in which my streak would end. Despite not beating it, it was the most fun level of the three I played, we are riding a skateboard and we must dodge obstacles, falling objects, cars and others, while we fight with the villains, which gave me a tremendous beating, to the extent of reaching the final bosses (Bebop and Rocksteady together) with only one of the three that we get at the beginning of each level.

Needless to say, the bosses beat me to a pulp in no time, so that was the end of my adventure and the end of the gameplay. It was a great experience and as I tell you in the video is a great game, you will be watching it here because I loved it and I want to continue sharing it with you, plus it has a multiplayer mode in which we can complete levels with friends, so if anyone is interested it would be amazing to play with other members of the community.
