HivePH Talks: Internal Market and Hive Engine

avatar

I’ll be hosting a webinar on HivePH Discord and here are the details.

What: Trading at the Internal Market and Hive Engine

Date: December 4, 2021

When: Tentative Time 8:00 PM (GMT +8 Philippine Time)

Where: HivePH Discord

Who: Open to Filipinos and HivePH members (non-Filipinos) already on the server. Please note that the medium of instructions can span from English, Filipino, and other local dialects.

Prizes: Giving away PIZZA tokens (instructions middle part of the post).

Notes: I may move the sched depending on some unforeseen circumstances related to work and important matters. I will boot out people from the server/voice channel who can’t take a hint about the minimum proper decorum.

What to Expect:

The event is meant for people who already have a grasp on the basics of the platform. This isn’t an onboarding seminar. For members that are already traders, you have less value to be gained for attending as this will just cover the basics of trading. There’s no secret techniques and game changing charting skills to be gained here. You’ll just be wasting your time if you’re an experienced trader. The objective for this event is to give a step up to what newly onboarded users already know.

There is a chance that I may not be able to start at 8:00PM as originally intended but will look into moving it an hour or two. Announcements of the changes will be mentioned on discord.

I’ll be giving a total of 60 PIZZA tokens to 3 (20 each) random participants post event. The conditions include not having any PIZZA staked yet. These are for members who want to get acquainted with Hive Engine Tokens and the glory of PIZZA Community I expect those that earned these PIZZA to stake them but it’s still up to the winner’s discretion.

End of Post

I can’t stress enough how much engagement and getting connected with other people on the platform regardless of the market cycle is important to make the most out of Hive. The problem with short term thinking people and focusing on profits is how much chasing opportunity costs also cost them long term opportunities.

The recent rise in Hive price and the surge of onboarded members on the server made me reflect how much the season changes. When the market on green, the good times bring in the people and the opposite happens when the market is in red.

I’m probably going to expound this part at some future post:

I have friends that have 500 HP on an average. When the price of Hive was trading 0.2$, their vote power and weight gave me 0.01$ per upvote at 100% (not exactly accurate but the thought is there). Now that Hive reached the price to where it is now (2.4$ at the time of this writing), their upvotes are worth more now and they still give the same voting weight and power.

Now put this into some thought about the people you surround yourself with. If you fully believe that these people are really out there to support you but their stake is just small to make any significant change to your income, try looking at it in an angle where if they had a larger stake, they can and will give you more than what they can afford to give.

Now if you just see accounts you surround yourself with as autovoters. That’s one way to set yourself up to disappointment when the bear market comes. People will need to take profits at some point, have to power down to chase something else, the market does its menses, and people can just dislike you over the course of your stay in the platform. All these can happen.

Prioritize your relationship with people here and don’t do stupid shit you don’t want to be accountable for because it’s going to be used against you for all the ages to come. The blockchain remembers.

If you made it this far reading, thank you for your time.
