In Hindsight I Still Think Starting dCity is a Good Idea

In a time where people search for the next big NFT game, it’s this game that has gone through some changes yet still remaining stable from a profit perspective. I made an introduction about the game months back. I mentioned I started playing right around the time before the prices went into a waterfall but this was somehow expected given this was around the time Hive was rising in value compared to SIM.

I know it's game but it's just silly to think there's no one else that thought about the financial rewards of being good at it.

SIM, at the time of this writing, is worth 0.001$ and it was the same value when I started months ago oscillating at 0.001 to 0.002$. The difference was how much SIM was readily being printed due to low taxes back then. If you pegged what you invested in Hive, it’s natural to feel the game failed but there are greater forces at work on the market. You play the game for fun, some play for profits as a reason to have fun, accept that not everyone will approach the game the same.

I think more than 1k Hive was spent here (red mark) but this was back when Hive was trading below 1$ and the payoff was still earning 0.001$ regularly. I just adjusted my strategy to hedge against taxes and this paid off really well compared to players that didn’t approach the game paying attention to those mechanics.

Now there are different strategies to play this game whether you’re after the city building experience, aiming solely for profits, and even having the best of both worlds. I’m not going to dwell into that. Plenty of users playing the game have contributed a lot to the pool of knowledge and @ecoinstats does a wonderful job keeping up with the community guides.

As a simulator game, the longest amount of time I had to spent playing was browsing through the info of the cards, reading strategies, playing with the simulator page, and organizing the excel sheets. I only consider changing some strategies whenever a new update pops up and it’s back to just logging in for a few minutes daily then be on my way doing something else.

This a passive game and bulk of the work is spent getting the math right and aligning it to what you want to accomplish in the game. If you want to play for profit as top priority, the current meta favors not playing and just stacking up SIM for daily Hive dividends from the reward pool. It’s hard to liquidate dCity cards especially when community demand to bother with the math is low.

There are also other elements like politics and which majority of the stake holders favor allocating the reward pool on. I don’t generally have a lot of time to mind those details but I’m doing well just earning passive SIM daily along with the Hive dividends those accumulated SIM gives. Being an game that has aged more than a year, I’m not worried about rug pulls (I’m just putting money I am fine losing and I think the game has a lot of potential for growth). The community is relatively small but consistently active which matters a lot in the long term.

If you made it this far reading, thank you for your time.

I am a dCity player, and I would recommend to anyone who is into blockchain play to earn games, to at least try dCity :) the game is super underestimated. People sometimes hesitate to start playing because of the game's maths disposition - but it's a mistake - if you know how to find info tab and simulation tab, you can make the best choices for your city!

A lot of the questions can be answered by the info tab and simulation tab~
Ain't nobody got time to read that.

My SIM power is slipping. Looks like people have been buying them up.

Might have to make some changes.

Have you placed some of that SIM on the liquidity pool? those BXT are tempting.

Don't you need HIVE in conjunction to put into the liquidity pool?

swap.hive the returns have been decent and the SIM computed by the daily snap shot is included in the daily SIM power, + you get daily SIM rewards from being in the pool, + there's BXT rewards added on top of that SIM rewards. The value of your Hive daily dividends just fluctuates as the pool swings in favor of people opting for more swap.hive or more SIM.
