Ask Leo: Coinbase Layer2 network will it be secure network for web3 users?

People have been talking about the Coinbase layer-2 network that just launched some days ago, but I've been thinking how this network will be a game changer to challenges of insecurity facing by Coinbase.

Coinbase is the second largest crypto exchange by trading volume, but in term of security, have meet several people complaint that it easy to get users phrase, as result of that scammers find it easy to intrude users account. However, diving into a Web3 will be a tough challenges orelse they increase their level of security.

Coinbase launched Base, a layer-2 network to enter decentralized ecosystem, and it going to be a marketplace and home for some business means it need to be secure.

According to Coinbase, the system will bring more people to crypto space, render low-cost and provide proper security for people in Decentralized world.

Although I like the fact it built on OP Stack and it will allow users to have access to some of Layer-1 blockchain like Ethereum, Solana and even provide effort in in increasing transaction efficiently, but is it going to be secure like L1.

Be the first exchange to do this will they have resources to maintain it, because recently they laid off 100 staffs in Coinbase Indian and that really show the launch of Base is scale back. Aside that, isn't clear how Coinbase will deal with insecurity with Base.

I believe not that Coinbase just built Base L2s network for community in hope they will come if they build it, and if Base will be a bridge I think it should be well secure for users.
