Money play a vital role in our life and it's something we cannot do without on daily basis whether you are at the side of earning it, at the side of spending, or savings it, surely you'll deal with money.

But what makes it precious to us?

Let go back to the history of money in Africa 🌍. Before the ideals of money, Africans make use of barter that is, they exchange goods in position of paying money for it. Then if you have a rice and another person have tomatoes, you can take your rice in exchange of tomatoes, unlike the way we do it nowadays that you have to go to market with your money before you could get whatever you need, no one cares about what you have, you hold your money you get whatever you want. That is where it begins, no money, no value for it.

Suddenly everything changed people come with idea of using cowries to trade, and the reason why cowries is been using then was because it's very precious it hard for you to see cowries anyhow, so they placed value on it.

And often I always say that to people, we ourselves are the one who placed too much value on money which now make it a powerful tool in the world that we cannot do without it, ofcourse money has the ability to provide us good things like security, freedom, and opportunities because we think of it most valuable.

I never say having money is not good my dear readers, moreover we all live to have the money and have a comfortable life we want for ourselves, but did you ever stopped to think about what truely make it more valuable to us. Obviously it's material things but does it worth the emotional value it holds?

See now I have been losing sleep lately because i want to earn money and secure a good life for myself, likewise some are desperate going through illegal way just to get the money money Money!!!. I'm not a kid I really know the impact of money in today's society but still we need to ask ourselves, "are we working hard to earn it because of the currency itself, or power and freedom it brings?

What makes money precious to us in today society.

Financial security is one of the things I will mention here as what makes human values money in the first place. Everyone want to be in a state of having enough money for our basics needs, and having enough for our future and i think that is what really drive many of us to take action of work hard everyday just for us to achieve that financial security. Obviously anyone who is financial secured have sense of control over their lives and have freedom in the financial aspect. Can you know see the reason why rich people will continue strive to have more, and poor will be wishing to secure the bag as well, because the society see money as legacy, concept of stability, an opportunity to have a independence.

Another reason why we value money is because it hold power and freedom to anyone who have it in the society, honestly everyone want to be like Elon musk, want to be in his position just because the significant amount of money he has brings him power, just imagine if he's an ordinary man walking on street no one will admire him so much. Still all these and respect is happening because we place too much value on money.

There is no deny that money doesn't have ability to give power and freedom, and that's reason I will tell everyone reading this that "don't downplay the relevance of finance" money play a vital role in our society, all the power and freedom that are in the society only those have money can afford it, in terms of good healthcare, good living, opportunities and many more, infact the power and freedom money brings are undeniable, but still money can't bring sole happiness and fulfilment is that true?

That cannot be true, if money doesn't bring happiness then why are we so desperate to have money if not for us to be happy and live a comfortable life. Although in some aspect money doesn't guarantee happiness and fulfilment but is part of what give us happiness in this world. Honestly the emotions that comes when achieve a financial goal alone enhance our overall well being and quality of life.
Finally, the social value is one of the biggest reason why we placed much values on money. Money is a good symbolic value in society and for that, anyone that have it have access to societal power and good social status.

I believe all these are reason why we placed more values on money, and for that reason we see it as things that is much precious, although we all have to make money, whether much value is placed or not, but remember in all what you do that your life is most precious.
