Introduction

As African men, we have to appreciate ourselves and our cultural song that illuminates our inspiration. I always admit that I listen to local Nigerian Afro-beat hip-hop talking about our economy and giving advice to leaders.

If you have ever been to Africa or have listened to African music, you will understand the focus and tone of the authors, their feelings, and their mood when they sing.
Afro-hip-hop music is generally much faster and more relaxed. The tone, especially Nigerian music, is like a magic formula that can wash away all my melancholy and give me the strength to solve the problems that I always fear when I listen to the song.

Briefly about the song

It is mainly a Nigerian song that I can't listen to, the song was released in 1989 by fela anikulapo Kuti "Beast of No Nation".
After being released from prison for alleged currency smuggling, he released the song after it was released after 20 months.
He described his experience in prison, calling life in prison the "inner world" and the outer world the "crazy world." In the song, he said that the outside world is full of garbage and the crazy world is full of police brutality. Nigerian police charged bogus citizens with serious crimes. Selection of innocent people in the street to ask for ransom in the form of bail.

The hands of the Nigerian government and the UN are hypocrisy

Mad World, where protesters are violent in Nigeria, where two clans of the same ethnic group engage in ground battles that end in deaths.

Beat of no Nation by Fela kuti

When we talk about Afrobeat, it combines elements of the West African musical style, such as juju music, American funk, and highlife.

This song also refers to the fact that Nigerians as a whole lack discipline.

My people are useless, my people do not make sense, my people are undisciplined

What I like the most about the song

This song first 12 minutes full of numerous and different instrumentation, politically charged lyrics, addressed to the Nigerian government with comments that will remain with the listener.

I mean the first 12 minutes are full of instrumentation, acoustic guitar, saxophone solo and many perform as a tenor, soprano before presenting the lyrics.

There is so much about this song, I can't express everything here. I want to leave the link to the song and you can feel the magic of African Afrobeat.
It's not just about Nigeria, it's about the UN, South Africa being no nation's beast.

Conclusion

There is a lot to learn in this song. Although the song was released many years ago, the lyrics still take place in our government, the brutality of the police, and our leaders covered in animal skins. I like this song in particular because it sounds like an evergreen to me. I know you will love it too if you listen to it.

I would appreciate it if you can listen to the song and feel that I always have it as a listener.
