Phillies defeat Blue Jays in series finale, securing series victory | Tanner Banks on the mound in Milwaukee to face Brewers
Well the Phillies finished their series against the Blue Jays on Wednesday in a pretty good way. They jumped out to an early lead against the 2025 American League Champions and just didn't look back. It was a bit of a home run parade early on as Bryce Harper hit his 15th, Alec Bohm hit his 8th, and Kyle Schwarber hit his 24th. Two of the homers weren't simply solo shots either, Bohm's was a three-run shot, and Schwarber's was a two-runner. So there was great team execution displayed there offensively!
Jesús Luzardo had a nice outing as he pitched 5 2/3 innings allowing just a run and recording eight strikeouts. He's comfortably established himself as the third pitcher in the rotation!
Funny enough today the Phillies face the Brewers. What's funny about it is, my other favorite team in the A's, just faced the Brewers! So I'll get an even deeper look at this elite team.
Even more interestingly, the Phillies will get to face Jacob Misiorowski, one of, if not THE BEST pitcher in baseball. Cristopher Sánchez of the Phillies may have something to say about that but, Misiorowski is still unbelievable so this will be a very big test for this Phillies offense! Misiorowski is currently 7-2. He leads the MLB in several MAJOR categories with a 1.50 ERA, 116 strikeouts, and a .808 WHIP. His numbers are ridiculous in general and he throws GAS. Misiorowski may have the slight edge in the Cy Young race but there's still a good amount of season left and Cristopher Sánchez has great numbers as well.
As I typically am, I've been down in the dumps with life and so, I'm pretty glad the Phillies and A's are back in action after a day off. It's nice to get out of my head here and just watch some baseball.
#GOPHILLIES!!!

The Miz!
Unbelievable! He's amazing! Historically epic performance!
And he is such a sweet kid, too!
That's definitely awesome to hear, I'm sure he'll be a great Brewers and MLB figure for years to come!
It has been such fun to watch him this season.
I bet, I've enjoyed watching his skills as well! I look forward to seeing him accomplish many more great things.
