Phillies get a super clutch win in Los Angeles! | Andrew Painter on the mound today for series finale

Well the Phillies visited the land where movies are made and put on a show! Indeed, they won in pretty dramatic fashion to tie up this series!

Alec Bohm struck first with a solo homer to take a one run lead for Phillies in the top of the second inning. That was Bohm's sixth homer of the season. The lead was short lived however, as the Dodgers struck back immediately in the bottom half of the same inning. Bohm's homer was early, and may be forgotten by some, but that run provided by Bohm proved to be valuable in the end!

The Dodgers would tack on a few more runs throughout the game while the Phillies once again could do nothing offensively. Going into the top of the eighth, they were down 3-1 and had to make something happen.

Justin Crawford got the comeback started with a nifty single, then Kyle Schwarber had a productive ground out that moved the speedy Crawford into scoring position. Bryce Harper proceeds to drive in Crawford with a single of his own.

The score was 3-2 then, and enter Edmundo Sosa! With Bryce Harper on deck Sosa launches a two-run shot to take the 4-3 lead late in the eighth! It was his third homer of the season.

Sosa really is one of my favorite players! He just has a powerful and smooth swing.

The job wasn't done of course, later in the bottom of the ninth, Jhoan Durán came in to close the game for the Phillies. He forced three Dodgers, including Shohei Ohtani, into three consecutive ground outs to secure the victory! I gotta give credit to Jesús Luzardo as well, he handled the Dodgers lineup pretty well himself.

Definitely an exciting game, today rookie Andrew Painter is going to be tested in a big way against the defending champs! If he can pitch well, it will be a big statement from him that he's really here to stay.

Let's win this series fellas!
