Titans choke vs the Steelers

The Titans really, really need Derrick Henry back. This team needs at least A.J. or even Julio who AGAIN tweaked his hamstring yesterday.

This loss was tough to watch. The Titans played very well in the first half and were winning by ten points at halftime.

Then the second half happened....

During the second half, the Titans, the offense in particular, started just choking and making dumb mistakes. A forced fumble, an unforced bad snap fumble, penalties, MORE injuries (not really anyone's fault but yeah). So many mistakes I really can't remember them all, I was just in disbelief yesterday. This game was so depressingly weird. It felt like the Titans were like, high or something just sort of floating through the game, not a real sense of urgency? Just weird.

The main issue at the moment is frankly the offense. Tannehill has looked pretty bad but as soon as I want to start blaming him I start to remember how injured the Titans are.

The Titans offense had WR Julio Jones on the field yesterday, the singular healthy piece of the Titans explosive trio of Derrick, A.J., and of course, Julio himself. BUT right on cue, Julio got injured and so Tannehill was once again without his top three offensive weapons. Not just his top three weapons but arguably the best trio of offensive players on a team in the entire NFL. Not that they've been on the field much together....pain LOL.

Of course, Tannehill and the Titans offense has to play a game this Thursday. Three days from now. It's not likely the team will have any of those three guys back by then.

I'm very near panic mode. Will the Titans win another game this season?

I like to be pro-Titans but I also have got to be honest. This offense has looked shaky shaky shaky without any of the Titans top three weapons and that's putting it nicely. I literally am holding my breath any time any Titans player runs with the ball, I just expect a fumble to happen.

Tannehill drops back and he just doesn't know where to go with the ball. Tannehill is not perfect and needs to be sharper, but who the heck is he going to throw it to?

The Titans defense had ya know, a solid game. I wish they could shut every team out, but the Titans need to be able to score more than 13 points!!!!

I can't be totally furious, yet. The Titans are 9-5 and still have a lot going for them and three games to play. I'm just going to cross my fingers at this point.

These injuries have just been a huge burden. I can't say that enough either.

The playoff race is now getting sketchy, especially thanks to the Titans losing, OBVIOUSLY LOL.

The Titans have got three important games left against an interesting slate of opponents.

  • vs the 49ers
  • vs the Dolphins
  • AT the Texans

The Niners and the Dolphins have proven to be worthy teams after shaky starts to their seasons. They're gonna come in playing really hard because they are both fringe playoff teams. Great. A tiny silver lining is those two games are at home, in Tennessee.

The Texans game should be easy because well they have like three wins. But the Titans lost to bad teams already this season, including the Texans already! Ugh. Also, the game is in Houston. Wonderful.

I was really hoping the Titans could coast to the playoffs. I played myself. I should have known better, the NFL is tough!

The Titans could literally go anywhere between 0-3 to 3-0 in this final stretch, who the heck knows.

Ugh. This will be a stressful couple of games. I'm not feeling that confident but the Titans have surprised me before and have shown me they can bounce back before. Crossing my fingers it happens again.

No matter what, #Titanup!!!
